The manufacturing industry is the pillar industry of the national economy, which reflects the productivity level of our country. The development of the manufacturing industry will also directly affect the development of other sectors in the national economy. Therefore, the development of the manufacturing industry plays a crucial role in the improvement of China’s comprehensive national strength.Manufacturing industry drives the rapid development of the real economy at the same time,we should be aware that the manufacturing industry itself is energy-intensive and high-carbon,the growth speed of the manufacturing carbon emissions is even beyond the growth speed of national carbon emissions, how to keep the manufacturing industry rapid development at the same time reduce the level of carbon emissions so as to realize the sustainable development of low-carbon economy is an important issue. This paper firstly summarizes the current domestic and foreign research on carbon emission measurement methods, influencing factors and spatial metrology analysis, and summarizes the research contents of experts and scholars. Then, combined with the selection of 7 data indicators,30 provinces in China are divided into 3 regions by k-means clustering analysis, and the characteristics of different regions and the distribution of manufacturing industry are analyzed considering different influencing factors.Nextly,it tests whether the regional difference of carbon emissions in China’s manufacturing industry at the national and region level have convergence.According to absolute ? convergence theory and conditional ? convergence theory, the convergence and divergence of carbon emissions in the manufacturing industry in the three regions are analyzed; With the method of spatial econometric analysis,a spatial econometric model of manufacturing carbon emissions is constructed, and empirical research is conducted on the carbon emissions and different influencing factors of manufacturing industry at the national and region level. Finally, according to the impact of different factors,it proposes advice for different regions to reduce carbon emissions.
