Research On The Influence Of Government Environmental Protection Support On Enterprise’s Environmental Performance

In recent years,as environmental pollution and the growing incidence of extreme weather,the world begin to pay close attention to the influence of the environment.In this context,the new energy industry with characteristics,such as clean production,is gradually become a substitute for conventional energy.But the development and utilization of new energy cost is larger.The higher costs affect the enthusiasm of the producers and investors.In order to promote the sustainable development of economy and reduce the cost of the development and utilization of new energy,the goverment give the subsidies to the new energy enterprises in China.However,as a means of government intervention in the economy,how effective are subsidies in environmental governance?This article used date of 81 new energy listed companies in 2014-2018,and explore the government support.From two dimensions such as operation and management aspecsts,to measure the environmental performance of the enterprise comprehensively.Through multiple linear regression and Logistic regression,the article find out:the government support of environmental protection will have a positive influence on the enterprise performance.At the same time,according to the conclusions drawn from the government and enterprises,the article provide some recommendations to the government and companies,such as:the government should increase environmental protection support for the new energy industry;establish a whole-process supervision mechanism and force enterprises to disclose environmental information;Enterprises should set up special accounts for environmental management;establish a sound internal environmental management system and increase investment in environmental research and development.
