| Aquilaria sinensis(Lour.)is a highly valuable tree species in our country.Its leaves can be made into tea,fruits can produce essential oil,trunks can be used for extacting fragrant.Heortia vitessoides is the main pest species of A.sinensis.Aquilaria sinensis can be completely defolicated within a few days by H.Vitessoides during outbreaks.The percentage of damaged trees can reach over 90%.Whole tree death may occur during heavy infestations.It not only affects the growth of A.sinensis,but also causes dead seedlings,tree mortality,loss of yield of aroma and aloes.Preliminary observations revealed that H.vitessoides fed on nectar of Dalbergia odorifera.In this paper,gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),electro-angle potential(EAG),gas chromatography-antenna potential(GC-EAD),and Y-tube and inter-forest experiments are used to analyze the chemical constituents of various floral volatiles;evaluate the EAG and behavioral responses to three wild non-host plant essential oils and standards;and the active components in plant essential oils which can induce the antennal potential response of the H.vitessoides.The following results were obtained.(1)The essential oils of Dalbergia odorifera 、 Carthamus tinctorius and Microchamomile consisted 19,31 and 26 components,respectively.Among them,there were 31 olefins,16 alcohols,4 phenols,3 aromatic compounds,2 aldehydes,2 esters,2 ketones,2 alkanes and 2 other compounds.Terpineol is a common constituent of three plants.Linalool,gama-Elemene and zelanin were the most abundant components in Dalbergia odorifera、Carthamus tinctorius and Microchamomile.(2)Both sexes of H.vitessoides adults showed EAG response to the essential oils from Dalbergia odorifera、Carthamus tinctorius and Microchamomile.The reaction value of EAG was positively correlated with the concentration.As the concentration of essential oil increased,the EAG reaction value gradually increased.At a concentration of 10,000mg/L,the EAG response of the three non-host plant essential oils reached the highest value.There were significant differences among the concentrations of 1,10,100,and 1,000 mg /L.(3)Three kinds of plant flower essence have certain attracting effect on male and female adults of Heortia vitessoides.1000mg/L essential oil of Dalbergia odorifera and 10000mg/L essential oil of Carthamus tinctorius,both the attraction rate of male and female adults of Heortia vitessoides are significantly higher than the repellent rate.And the attraction rate of 1000mg/L and 10000mg/L Microchamomile essential oil to the female adult was significantly higher than the repellent rate,but there was no difference between the attraction and repellent of males.There is a negative correlation between the olfactory behavioral and the EAG responses to the three plant essential oils,but there were also variations.At the concentration of 1000mg/L,the EAG value of the male and female for the essential oils of Dalbergia odorifera and Microchamomile reached the highest.However,the attractiveness and repellency of adults at this concentration are lower than 1000 mg/L.The Carthamus tinctorius essential oil at 10000mg/L had the highest EAG value for female adults,and the attractiveness was significantly higher than that at 1000 mg/L,but the repellency was significantly lower than the repellency at 1000mg/L.There was a significant difference between the level of attractiveness and the repellency in 10000mg/L,showing a significant attractive effect.(4)Six active substances caused Heortia vitessoides antenna potential response.They were myrcene,linalool,furfural,basil,terpineol and geraniol.The male and female adults had obvious EAG responses to six standard chemicals.The response dose of Heortia vitessoides to EAG of basil,linalool,furfural and geraniol has the optimal dosage range.With the increase of essential oil concentration,the EAG reaction value increases first and then decreases.The electroantennogram response of terpineol and myrcene was positively correlated with the concentration.The EAG reaction value increased gradually with the increase of the concentration.At a concentration of 10,000mg/L,the EAG reaction reached its highest value.(5)Male and female adults of Heortia vitessoides exhibited behavioral responses to six single compounds,but there were no significant differences compared to the control.According to the highest value of the number of reaction insects,the number of female insects in the order of high and low is: Linalool> myrcene = control > furfural > geraniol > terpineol.The order of male adults was from high to low: linalool > terpineol = geraniol > basil dil = furfural = myrcene > control. |
