Carbasalate Calcium,which was first developed by Dutch Company of Merck,is a complex formed by the reaction of Calcium and urea.Currently,the European Union has approved the use of Carbasalate Calcium for pigs,chickens,cows,rabbits and other food animals(except aquatic animals).Carbasalate Calcium has been listed as an over-the-counter medication by United States.At home,Carbasalate Calcium is the three kinds of new veterinary drug which is the only one approved by the ministry of agriculture to be used for the antipyretic analgesics in poultry and gradually applying to the livestock and poultry breeding industry with market prospect.Reported production of Carbasalate Calcium synthesized with aspirin calcium nitrate,ammonia and ammonia urea which are strong excitant has many shortcomings and potential dangers of safety as high equipment requirements,difficult control and poor production environment.Therefore,study on new simple and environmental synthesis technology of Carbasalate Calcium with high quality is of great importance for development of veterinary drug,especially for the disease prevention in intensive cultivation of poultry.This paper is to study the optimal replacement of ammonia.The content involves:the reactant choices of Carbasalate Calcium,the best screen of the reaction conditions,monitoring the reaction proceedings with TLC,testing the purity of the target products with HPLC,confirming the structure of the target product and the impurities with IR、~1H NMR and exploring the crystalline condition of its microrystal powder.Calcium Hydroxide is the best replacement of ammonia,explored the influence factors of Carbasalate Calcium,choiced the best reaction temperature\reaction time,rate of charge and the stirring rate of the reactant.This characteristics of the new technology is more simple,more environmental,shorter time and more pure of the target product.
