| In the study,Nanosized copper sulphide-loaded polymeric composite(CuSD201)was prepared by processes of ion exchange and surface deposition.The composite material was used as adsorbent for enhanced tetracycline removal fromwaters.According to the results of absorption performance study and the mechanism of adsorption,the feasibility and advantage can be assessed.It will provide a novel composite to effectively remove aqueous tetracycline.(1)Though the processes of ion exchange and surface deposition,the copper sulphide was successfully immobilize onto the resin-matrix.In order to optimize the preparation conditions,the effects of reactant concentration and temperature and time on the preparation of CuS-D201 was investigated.The immobilization frequency was considered as a important influencing fact on preparation as well.Finally,the optimum preparation conditions was obtained:the concentrat ion of copperion was 0.001mol/L(the quantity of sulfide ion was the 1.5 times that of copper ion),the process of ion exchange was stipulated 120 minutes at 298K;the process of surface deposition was stipulated 30 minutes at 288K;the immobilization frequency were 4 times.(2)CuS-D201 was prepared under the optimum preparation conditions.Gas adsorption,X-ray diffraction,infrared spectroscopy,atomic absorption spectrophotometer and Zeta potentiometer were used to characterized the propertites of CuS-D201.The results show that CuS-D201 was a macropore material with Specific surface area of 26m2/g.The supported quantity of copper sulphide was about 50mg/g,and the pHPZC of CuS-D201 was about 6.8.There is not much change between CuS-D201 and D201 in phyical structure properties.The copper sulphide has no effect on functional group of D201.(3)In the adsorption performance test,Langmuir model and Temkin model can fit the sorption isotherm well,which indicated that sorption process of tetracycline was a monolayer absorption,and it was effected by the adsorbent-adsorbate interactions.Thermodynamic parameters showed that adsorption process was favorable and spontaneous,increasing the temperature can promote the adsorption.A adsorption quantity of 402.4mg/g can obtain when the temperature was 308K.Compared to D201,the composite material has a higher adsorption quantity and a faster rate of adsorption,it may due to different mechanism of adsorption.Adsorption equilibrium was reached after 72h.Pseudo-first order kinetic model has a better fitting correlation,and adsorption rate constant increase with higer temperature.It indedicated that higher temperature is beneficial to improve the adsorption rate.The dynamic adsorption process of tetracycline on fixed bed adsorption column was also studied.The results show that the sorption on D201 get to the breakthrough point rapidly,the first effluent concentration was the 41%of influent concentration,while for CuS-D201,wastewater treatment capacity in the 300BV,there is no tetracycline was detected.Results of this study turned out that CuS-D201 have more significance of the practical application.(4)The influence of general coexistence ions have a mildly influence on the sorption of tetracycline onto CuS-D201,the biggest impact rate is less than 10%,while the impact rate of D201 is over 60%.It illustrated that CuS-D201 has a good adsorption performance of tetracycline than D201.And the tetracycline adsorb onto D201 by ion exchange,while onto CuS-D201 was mainly though complexation. |
