Antioxidative type of cosmetics need to be added with antioxidants to realize their antioxidant function.Coenzyme Q10(Q10)or curcumin(Cur)are often used as antioxidants in cosmetics.According to relevant studies,synergistically therapy of Q10 and Cur can greatly reduce the production of reactive oxygen species and enhance the inhibition of oxidative stress,which suggests their synergistic antioxidant potential.However,the low water solubility of Q10 and Cur limits their application.To solve this problem,there are many nano drug delivery technologies,such as liposomes,solid lipid nanoparticles,and etc.,which can improve the water solubility by embedding Q10 and Cur.Liposomes can be made of natural phospholipids and cholesterol and are suitable to be added to cosmetics.Chitosan coating can enhance the stability of liposomes,so the application of chitosan coated liposomes embedding Q10 and Cur in cosmetics can improve their water solubility and promote their delivery into cells,which can improve the antioxidant performance of cosmetics.Therefore,in this thesis,liposome nanoencapsulation technology has been explored to co-encapsulate Q10 and Cur in the same system with chitosan coating to provide improved water solubility,stability and antioxidants activity.In this work,the Q10 loaded liposome nanocarriers(Q10-Lip)have been prepared and characterized first.Then,Q10 and Cur co-encapsulated liposome nanocarriers(Q10-Cur-Lip)have been prepared and characterized.Finally,Q10 and Cur co-encapsulated liposome nanocarriers modified with chitosan coating has been prepared.Its stability,release characteristics and antioxidant properties have been investigated systematically.The main research contents and conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1)Q10-Lip have been prepared and characterized by transmission electron microscope(TEM),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)and fourier transform infra-red(FT-IR).The wall material ratio and ultrasonic process of Q10-Lip have been optimized.Soybean lecithin:cholesterol = 5:1 was chosen as the optimal wall material ratio.Besides,ultrasonic power 300 W and ultrasonic pulse time/frequency 1 s/1 s were chosen as the optimal process parameters for the preparation of liposomes.The results showed that the particle size(PS)of the obtained Q10-Lip was 358.10±10.94 nm and the entrapment efficiency(EE)was 97.02 %±0.12 %.(2)Q10-Cur-Lip have been prepared and characterized by TEM,DSC,XRD and FT-IR.The core material ratio was optimized.Q10: Cur = 2:1 was decided as the best core material ratio.The results showed that the PS of Q10-Cur-Lip was 167.1 ± 10.6 nm.The EE of Q10 and Cur was 98.54 %±1.43 % and 25.46 %±2.23 %,respectively.(3)Chitosan coated Q10 and Cur co-encapsulated liposomes(Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi)have been prepared.The obtained Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi has better solubility,enhanced stability,better controlled release performance and better antioxidant activity.The results showed that the best concentration of chitosan during preparation was 2 mg/m L.Under this condition,the PS of the prepared Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi was about 1441.70±5.00 nm,and the EE of coenzyme Q10 and Cur were 98.33 %±0.44 % and 26.41 %±3.65 %,respectively.The zeta potential of Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi was 66.89±1.47 m V.Compared with Q10-Lip and Cur-Lip,Q10-Cur-Lip showed better salt stability,and the change of PS in solutions with different salt concentrations was less than 5 %.The p H stability of Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi was good.When the environmental p H value was between 7.0 to 9.0,the retention rates of Q10 and Cur were more than 98.5 %.In addition,the PS of Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi did not change by more than 10 %under the storage condition of 4 °C.In addition,Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi showed good controlled release characteristics.After 24 hours,the cumulative release of Cur of Q10-Cur-Lip-Chi was less than 34 %,of which the cumulative release of Q10 was less than 30 %.Q10-CurLip-Chi also showed a good synergistic effect in antioxidant activity.Its antioxidant activity was 41.87±1.84 %,5.9 times higher than that of coenzyme Q10,2.5 times higher than that of Cur,and 1.7 times higher than that of the simple mixture of coenzyme Q10 and Cur.
