Visual Performance And Application Of Hand-knitting In Denim Clothing

Denim cloth,which was originally used as a material for work clothes,has become popular around the world with its unique "people-friendly" and "aesthetic",and has been baptized for hundreds of years.Because of the roughness of its material and the influence of hippie and punk culture in its development history,denim has become a representative of "rebellion" and has also rolled up a bottom-up street fashion trend.In the current era of multicultural development,as an independent clothing category,denim has developed a richer form in fashion,blending into different groups of people,and becoming a trend symbol.Looking at the denim clothing market,there are still gaps to be supplemented while its rich development.For example,the design techniques are mainly embroidered,printed,spliced,dyed,etc.are mainly used for plane decoration effects.Denim jackets,trousers,and shirts of conventional styles occupy the main market of denim clothing,and their styles and structural designs need to be innovated.Hand-knitting is an indispensable part of traditional decoration techniques.It has been mentioned in many related literatures on denim clothing design,but there is a lack of targeted research.It is also difficult to find relevant cases in the market.Hand-knitting is an ancient handmade art in our country,with a long history and rich cultural heritage.It decorates people's lives with its unique artistic style.As a decorative design technique,it can make clothing present a variety of texture styles through the combination of different materials,thicknesses and colors.Hand-knitting denim uses trendy denim fabrics to show that the knitting process,it can break through the single-material sense of traditional hand knitting.It not only meets the individual needs of denim clothing,but also enriches the denim texture effect,and also provides for the inheritance and development of traditional handicraft culture in an effective way.In this research,I first read and analyzed the relevant literature,sorted out the development and design research directions of denim clothing,as well as the basic techniques and applications of hand-knitting.Second,I analyzed the characteristics and design techniques of denim fabrics and clothing based on the theoretical basis and design cases,and summarized different decoration and performance techniques.Third,I combined denim with knitting to conduct a sample experiment to explore the combination of the two in the expression of texture,color,pattern and the way of application in clothing.In the end,I brought the previous research results into design practice,designed styles and structures with thematic concepts,screened out suitable organizational structures and knitting techniques combined with patterns,colors,textures and other factors for integration and innovation.Combining hand-knitting and denim,seeking contrast,proportion division and changes in rhythm on the basis of point,line and surface composition,this method can make clothing show a differentiated texture effect.Conventional blue denim can present soft gradients and strong contrasts through the combination of different brightness and saturation.Combining it with the rustic texture of denim and various knitting techniques,it is also an excellent color to create a natural atmosphere.Colored denim can create different atmospheres under the principle of color matching.It is a personalized demand and a choice to increase interest.When combining denim with concrete or abstract patterns,the creator should choose a more appropriate knitting techniques according to the content of the pattern.The two complement each other to achieve layer changes and visual effects.Whether as a style innovation or a decorative application,knitting denim has great value in the future denim clothing market-as a pattern,structure,dot decoration or combined with different materials in different styles of clothing.
