Research On Combined Baby Buggies Design Based On Humanization Concept

After comprehensive establishment and implementation of the two-child policy,the number of newborns in China has increased significantly,and the same was true of the number of families with two kids having increasingly narrowing trend of age gap especially in recent years.Decades of years has witnessed tremendous changes of people’s living standards and consumer demand with the rapid development of economy,science and technology,which also brought opportunities and challenges for the market of infant products.Baby buggy,as the most common product in the infant market,is an important tool for parents to accompany their children in journey for entertainment.It not only reduces parents’ pressure,but also provides a good resting place and healthy growth environment for infants and creates cozy parent-child atmosphere.The implementation of national policies,the development of society and economy and the promotion of consumer demand have laid solid foundation for the expansion of infant products market,which also ask for higher requirements.At present,baby buggy is designed in multiple types on the market,suitable for infants and young children of different ages,and in most cases,a child is placed in a buggy.However,under the two-child policy,there will be more and more families with two children,which means that these families need at least two buggies to meet their daily needs.In doing so,Security issues can also have adverse effects.This would increase the burden of parental care and adversely affect the safety of the two children.Based on this,this thesis,with the design of baby buggy as the main discussion and research object,targets infants and young children and their parents in the ages of 0-6 years.Guided by the theory of humanized design,a combined buggy is designed for the family with two children and are planning to have two children.Through the simple combination and disassembly of the structure,it can not only be used by one child,but also take into account two children,so as to meet the safe,comfortable and convenient needs of families with two children.By taking the method of combination of theoretical research and practical investigation and analyzing the research status of baby buggy at home and abroad,the theory of humanized design and combined design,the physiological and psychological characteristics of infants and the needs of parents,this thesis practice activity creatively integrates body modules of infant buggy,young children buggy and shared buggy.After designing questionnaire,this practice activity gong through four stages including sketching,proposal,modeling rendering and model production,and added explanation to it.The humanized design practice of the combined baby buggy provides a variety of use modes through the combination and transformation of the structure,meeting the needs of the two-child family for the use of such buggy in different situations,which reduces the care pressure of the parents and enhances the parent-child interaction,and,furthermore,provides a new design concept and research idea for the baby buggy market in the current new social environment.
