Occupants' clothing behavior has the feature of environment adaption,while the mechanically controlled indoor environment with constant temperature limits the positive action of clothing insulation in cooling and warming regulation.This project researches the variation law of people's adaptive clothing insulation in naturally ventilated buildings on a global scale,in order to explore the characteristics of clothing compensation for environmental temperature and the limitation of maintaining comfort,and put forward suggestions to solve the problem that clothing is not adjusted according to the season in artificial environment.This study based on ASHRAE thermal comfort database ?.Selected and analyzed nine variables which might affect residents' clothing behavior,and obtained four key parameters(climate,season,indoor air temperature and mean outdoor monthly air temperature).Then established the adaptability of clothing insulation of the single variable model and hybrid model,which revealed the people's clothing behavior characteristics of the office,classroom and residence respectively: the clothing insulation of office staff and residential habitant were more affected by indoor air temperature,while the one of the classroom was more related to the outdoor temperature.On this basis,the data of "neutral" thermal sensation were further screened out,and different models of neutral clothing insulation were established.The range of comfortable clothing insulation and the threshold of neutral clothing insulation were determined according to the 80% residential acceptance proposed by ASHRAE 55,which revealed the regulation of clothing compensating ambient temperature and maintaining human thermal comfort.The results showed that the neutral clothing insulation could compensate indoor ambient temperature over a wide range.In the office,when the temperature was between 20.1?25.3?,the 80% people's thermal comfort could be guaranteed.Then the neutral clothing insulation(threshold: 0.58? 1.02clo)could meet the neutral thermal sensation of human.For the classroom and the residential building,when the thermal comfort temperature ranges of 80% people were 22?28.4 ? and 20?27.2 ?respectively,the neutral clothing insulation(classroom's threshold: 0.36?0.53clo;residential building's threshold: 0.40?0.89clo)could meet the neutral thermal sensation of human.In this thesis,a new combined outdoor temperature was proposed based on the outdoor temperature at 6 o 'clock in the morning and the running mean outdoor temperature.The IC-CO clothing insulation model was established by this new combined outdoor temperature,which improved the interpretation degree of outdoor temperature on the clothing insulation.In addition,the influence of gender on this model was also analyzed.The purpose of this project was to explore the influence of people's adaptation to the environment on their clothing behavior,and to quantify the ability of clothing to compensate environment temperature,and then using this feature to save building energy consumption(especially the energy consumption of HVAC).Clothing insulation,as an important factor of PMV calculation,was one of the most important parameters affecting thermal comfort.The study on the variation rule of clothing insulation could better predict the evaluation results of thermal comfort and thermal sensation.These models of clothing insulation could be used as a guide for people to dress in different environments.
