VR-based Office Chair Customized Assembly System Platform Research And Development

Assembly simulation technology based on virtual reality is a technology with great application value.Under the background of intelligent manufacturing,traditional office chair companies are in urgent need of transformation and upgrading.The combination of virtual reality technology and customization of office chairs is natural.Its advantage is enabling customers to configure satisfactory office chairs in an immersive virtual environment to achieve VR shopping.This paper studies the modular design of office chairs and the human-computer interaction and virtual assembly in virtual reality.Related researches give good theoretical guidance and practical value for the existing office chair design and virtual assembly.Our researches are as follows:(1)Establish an office chair model library: In our system,users can design office chair parts based on their demand and modular theory guidance through processes:3ds Max modeling ? ZBrush engraving ? UV expansion ? normal baking ? SP map drawing.The Physically based rendering(PBR)process gets the real texture map,which enhances the immersion of the virtual environment.(2)Build a virtual reality environment: We apply different tools to arrange the entire virtual scene,enabling to satisfy the user's immersive demand of experience and performance.Unity3 D is employed as the system's main development engine.Meanwhile,we use HTC VIVE Pro as hardware support.Steam VR Plugin and other plug-ins assist the development.C# is utilized as a scripting language to write logic codes.(3)Virtual assembly: This section also includes three parts: model grabbing,model assembly,and model disassembly.In this section,we propose a new positioning method which has the characteristics of rapid recognition and small assembly error.Compared with the current positioning method based on model benchmarks,it greatly reduces the amount of computer calculations and the development time of developers.The entire assembly process can be assembled in accordance with the user's wishes.This research also has reference value for virtual manufacturing technology,factory virtual assembly training,university experiment teaching and so on.
