Abstract/Summary:
Diabetes(Diabetes Mellitus,DM)can cause a variety of acute and chronic complications,involving multiple systems of functional damage and metabolic disorders,cause long-term harm to health and life,after the disease of heart head blood-vessel,cancer,Diabetes has become the third largest chronic non-communicable diseases.A large number of studies have shown that factors such as genetics,lifestyle,diet,obesity is associated with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus(T2DM),to some extent,healthy eating habits can prevent the occurrence and development of T2DM.Studies have demonstrated that drinking green tea may reduce the risk of T2DM.The people living in GongCheng for generations have the habit of drinking oil-tea,a kind of tea soup made from a mix of green tea and ginger.From 2012 to 2013,we carried out a nutrition and health survey of residents in GongCheng,the prevalence of diabetes is only 1.5%,below the national(9.7%),Guangxi(6.9%),and at the same time the same economic level of the Xin’An(7,5%),BinYang(7.7%).Suggest that drinking oil-tea might have an effect on the prevention of T2DM.This article is about a case-control study of T2DM among GongCheng county residents and animal model study to explore the relationship between oil-tea and T2DM.Part 1:A Case-control Study of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus among GongCheng County in Guangxi Oil-tea RegionObjectrive:To explore the risk factors and protective factors of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus,further analysis the effect of drinking oil-tea to T2DM.Methods:A 1:2 matched case-control study was carried out in Gongcheng,the case group selected≥35 years old patients with T2DM from 2014-2015 The new rural cooperative medical insurance and residents’ health records.The control group is same genders,same national,younger or older 3 years old,live in the same place for 1 years and above and no related to the diseases.Eliminate type 1 diabetes mellitus,special type diabetes mellitus,malignant tumors and severe mental illness.Research contents include:questionnaire(basic information,family situation,life habit,drink oil-tea habit),physical examination(height,weight,waist circumference,blood pressure and blood biochemical tests(fasting blood sugar,serum lipid).Using Epi-data 3.0 software for data double entry,Using SPSS 19.0 COX regression model to single factor and multiple factors analysis,multi-factor method adopts the minimum likelihood ratio regressive method,set into and exclude the significance level of the model were 0.10 and 0.05 respectively.Results:This study included 273 subjects(cases=91,control=182),distribution differences of in age,nationality,marital status,educational level and professional status had no statistical significance two groups(P>0.05).Multiple factors analysis show that every morning drink oil-tea(OR=0.135,95%CI:0.028 0.651),daily drinking 2-3 bowl oil-tea(OR=0.336,95%CI:0.118 0.954),the three generations of the grandparents birthplace and residence of GongCheng(OR=0.100,95%CI:0.027 0.371)is the protective factors for T2DM,and every night to drink oil-tea(OR=7.780,95%CI:2.293 26.391),and eating Fried food(OR=4.888,95%CI:1.9809.678),a strong family history of diabetes(OR=6.380,95%CI:1.696 24.008),medical hypertension(OR=2.265,95%CI:1.104 5.503)and central obesity(OR=5.902%CI:2.294 15.187)is a risk factors.The results of interaction of drinking time and dosage,same time eating fried food multiple factors analysis show every morning drink oil-tea and don’t eat Fried food(OR=0.097,95%CI:0.021 0.452),every morning drink 2-3 bowl oil-tea(OR=0.554,95%CI:0.3170.969)is protective factors for T2DM.Every night to drink camellia and don’t eat Fried food(OR=11.014,95%CI:2.484 48.837)is still a risk factor for T2DM.Conclusion:obesity,especially central obesity and a family history of diabetes groups have a higher risk of T2DM,should step up to the crowd prevention and interventions;Hypertension is independent risk factor for T2DM,patients also pay attention to the effective control of blood pressure,in order to reduce the incidence of complications.Found for the first time in the morning drink 2-3 bowl(250-350 ml)oil-tea is a protective factor for T2DM,But drinking oil-tea in the evening is unfavorable,and should not eat fried foods when drinking oil-tea.Part 2:Animal model Study on Auxiliary Hypoglycemic Activities of Oil-teaObjective:To investigate the hypoglycemic effect of oil-tea on diabetes mice induced by alloxan,to provide basis and clues of Guangxi specialty food oil-tea hypoglycemic health function application.Methods:Use healthy male mice celiac injection of alloxan induced diabetic,The hyperglycemic mice were randomly divided into Model group,according to high than human body drinking oil-tea per-day(400 ml)of the 20 times,10 times and 5 times set high,medium and low group respectively,each group of 12.Observe morphological,measure and calculate body weight and organ index,fasting blood glucose and glucose tolerance.Use SPSS 19.0 software for data processing and statistics,using the one-way ANOVA(LSD)compared between two groups.Measurement data show by x±s.a=0.05 as the significance level.Results:after 30 days,compared with model control group each dose group have no statistical significance in fasting blood glucose,blood glucose drop rate(P>0.05).high,medium and low dose group were lower than model control group in 0.5 hours blood glucose(P<0.01),medium and low dose group lower than the model control group in 2 hours blood glucose(P<0.01).Each dose group blood glucose area under the curve is smaller than model control group(P<0.01),the medium dose group is most small.There was no statistically significant of weight change compared with model control group(P>0.05).high dose group high than model control group of kidney weight index(P<0.01).Conclusion:appropriate oil-tea can significantly reduce glucose tolerance of diabetic mice,but have no obvious effect to reduce fasting glucose.
