At present, solid particles as emulsifiers have been widely used in food, cosmetics, coatings, medicine, agriculture and emulsion synthesis and other fields, but its application in the oil industry is still in its infancy. At the same time,in the process of oil production, solid clay particles are continuously brought into the produced fluid due to the effect of downhole drilling tool grinding and drilling fluid scouring, which makes the emulsion very stable and difficult to demulsify. Therefore, the study on the influence of solid particles on the stability of oil-water mixing system containing polymer and surfactant and the stability mechanism of emulsion can provide theoretical support for the application of solid particles as emulsifiers in the oil industry and demulsification of emulsion containing solid particles. In this paper, the effects of solid particle type, solid particle concentration and salinity on the stability of emulsion were investigated. The experimental results show that hydrophobic solid particles are easier to stabilize the emulsion than hydrophilic solid particles, and the higher the concentration, the stronger the stability of the emulsion, while too high or too low salinity is not conducive to the stability of the emulsion. In addition, the type of emulsion was only related to wettability of particles, that is,hydrophobic solid particles were easy to form W/O emulsion, and the increase of solid particle concentration and salinity did not change the type of emulsion. Finally, through the improved correlation analysis method, the correlation degree between interfacial tension, apparent viscosity, droplet size of dispersed phase and desorption energy of solid particles and emulsion performance was calculated, and the order of the correlation degree was obtained.Based on the comprehensive consideration of different conditions,it is speculated that the apparent viscosity is the most influential correlation index to the stability of the emulsion containing solid particles, and the interfacial tension is the secondary index.
