Cyclone separator is one of the key equipment of the tail gas purification unit of dry distillation of coal.Many scholars have used numerical simulation to study and optimize its internal complex flow field characteristics and gas-solid separation process,which can achieve the purpose of improving the utilization rate of coal mine and increasing the production capacity.In this paper,six PV TYPE cyclones with diameter of 1750 mm in parallel are taken as the research object.In view of the problems in the original design,such as pipeline blockage and unsmooth discharge of common ash hopper,numerical simulation is used to compare and analyze the optimized structure of each part,and the engineering data is used for verification.The flow field characteristics in the "ladder" type parallel cyclones in the process of coal carbonization and the influence of pipeline structure on the flow field are studied.This paper focuses on the effects of inlet pipeline layout,gas distribution chamber structure,vortex finder structure and the addition of partition in the common ash hopper,and puts forward the corresponding optimization scheme.The results show that:(1)Reducing the number of elbows in the pipeline and increasing the angle of elbows can greatly reduce the pressure drop in the pipeline,and the special tee pipe structure can prevent the lowspeed zone outside the elbow;(2)For the structure of large-diameter parallel separator,the effect of inlet uniformity on the internal flow field of parallel separator is smaller than that of the structure change of separator itself;(3)The flow field characteristics in the new design of ladder parallel cyclones are basically the same as that in a single separator.It can be inferred that the separation efficiency of this type of parallel separator is not significantly higher or lower than that of a single separator.
