Huludao Northeast non-ferrous Group Inc is a large enterprises mainly going in for pyrometallurgical smelting. Flue gas volume of the third plant reaches1.9×105m3/h, concentration of flue dust is about2.0×103mg/m3, flue gas temperature is400℃According to GB9078~1996[industrial furnace air pollution emission standards], flue dust emission indexes must be controlled below100mg/m3.The Company has adopted bags on the flue dust collection.For various reasons dust collector bags could not run down the long-term stability. The dust concentration of emission flue reach up to250~300mg/m3in2005, It seriously exceed the emissions limitation stipulated by the state.This article compared the classification characteristics of electrostatic precipitator and bag filter domestic and abroad. The development on the use of electrostatic precipitator and the transformation is introduced. Different kinds of collecting processes have been comparative analysed. And the electrostatic precipitator process was chosen to replace bag filters. Modification of Electric field strength and transformation of dust were also studied. By comparasion with bag filters on the respect of investment, use and maintenance costs. Industrial application results show that electrostatic precipitator dust collection is more suitable for the characteristics of the third workshop and can creates a good economic benefit.It is worthy of application and promotion in the same type of enterprise.
