Hot rolled U-shaped steel sheet pile can be used as a supporting structure formed through lock connection,which is widely used in foundation pit support,water cofferdam and foundation seepage prevention and other temporary projects.The locking connection of adjacent steel sheet piles is not absolutely complete,and its flexural bearing capacity,flexural stiffness and the improvement of crown beam are uncertain,which has a certain impact on engineering application.In this paper,four groups of specimens were set for static load test,and two groups were single hot rolled U-shaped steel sheet piles.The two groups are hot rolled composite U-shaped steel sheet pile specimens.The composite specimen 1 is only connected by the lock port,and the composite specimen 2 is also welded at the end lock port.Considering that the steel sheet pile can be recycled,the steel sheet pile that has been recycled several times is selected for the test specimen.In this paper,the bending moment deformation curves of each group of specimens were analyzed,and the bending capacity,bending stiffness and relative slip of hot rolled composite U-shaped steel sheet pile under different connection modes were discussed.Based on the bending test,the finite element software ABAQUS was used for numerical simulation to further study the bending performance of composite steel sheet piles.The experimental results show that the flexural yield bearing capacity of composite specimen 1 is about 1.41 times of the theoretical yield bending moment of three single piles,and the flexural yield bearing capacity of composite specimen 2 is 1.28 times of that of composite specimen 1.The bending stiffness of composite specimen 1 is similar to that of composite steel sheet pile without interaction.Compared with composite specimen 1,the bending stiffness of composite specimen 2 increases by 16 %.The finite element simulation results show that the flexural yield capacity of composite specimens1 and 2 is 1.30 times and 1.90 times of the theoretical yield bending moment of three single piles,respectively.The bending stiffness of composite specimen 1 is similar to that of composite steel sheet pile without interaction.Compared with composite specimen1,the bending stiffness of composite specimen 2 increases by 21 %.The end locking welding can effectively limit the relative slip of composite steel sheet pile,enhance the integrity of composite specimens,and improve the bending stiffness and bending bearing capacity of composite specimens.
