Nutrition Composition,Bacteriostatic And Antioxidant Effects Of Gnaphalium Affine D.Don And Artemisia Princeps Pamp.of The Raw Materials Of "Haocaibaba" From Xiangxi Region

"Haocaibaba"is a traditional specialty food loved by ethnic minorities in the mountainous area to the south of the Yangtze River.It has ethnobotanical investigation value.The raw materials used in Xiangxi for"Haocaibaba"are two wild"Artemisia"plants,Gnaphalium affine D.Don and Artemisia princeps Pamp.of the Asteraceae family.In order to study the nutritional value,bacteriostatic and antioxidant activities of the raw material plants of"Haocaibaba"in Xiangxi,this thesis used the young stems and leaves of the local Gnaphalium affine and Artemisia princeps in Xiangxi as raw material.Determination,analysis and evaluation of the nutrient components;the K-B disk diffusion method was used to determine the bacteriostatic activity of the Gnaphalium affine and Artemisia princeps against 6 indicator bacteria used in the experiment;7 kinds of in vitro antioxidant experiments including DPPH and ABTS free radical scavenging,total reduction capacity,iron reduction capacity,carotene fading,etc.Methods to determine the antioxidant activity of Gnaphalium affine and Artemisia princeps respectively.A comprehensive nutritional evaluation of the two plants was carried out,and the bacteriostatic and antioxidant activities of the two plants were preliminarily studied.The main research results and conclusions obtained are as follows:1.It was found that Gnaphalium affine and Artemisia princepsare characteristic plants with high protein and fat,rich minerals,low energy and low carbohydrates;rich in amino acids,there are 18 kinds of amino acids,including 8 essential amino acids required by the human body and 2 kinds of essential amino acids for children.The umami characteristics are obvious,the balance of amino acid composition is reasonable,and it is rich in glutamic acid and asparagus acid;rich in mineral components,mainly25 kinds of mineral elements,with the highest content of K.The content of Fe,Mn and Zn in trace elements is higher than other trace elements;contains Vit A,Vit C,Vit E and Vit B₂ 4 kinds of vitamins.The contents of crude polysaccharides,total polyphenols,and total flavonoids in Gnaphalium affine and Artemisia princeps is rich.From the overall point of view,the nutritional value of Gnaphalium affine and Artemisia princeps.2.Among the two raw material plants of"Haocaibaba"in Xiangxi,Gnaphalium affine against Bacillus subtilis,Proteus vulgaris,Sarcina luteus,Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger 6 indicator bacteria have bacteriostatic effects;Artemisia princeps has no bacteriostatic effect on Aspergillus niger,but it has no bacteriostatic effect against Aspergillus niger.Bacteria have an inhibitory effect.Among them,Aspergillus sinensis has obvious effects on gram-negative,gram-positive,rod-shaped,spherical and other bacteria,and it is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic plant.It can be seen that the two kinds of raw materials of"Haocaibaba"in Xiangxi have strong bacteriostatic activity,and the bacteriostatic activity of Gnaphalium affine is slightly better than that of Artemisia princeps.3.In terms of the free radical scavenging ability of the raw materials of"Haocaibaba"in Xiangxi,the half inhibitory mass concentration(IC₅₀)of the alcohol extract and water extract of Gnaphalium affine for scavenging DPPH free radicals were56.53 and 50.65 mg·L^-1,respectively.The IC₅₀ for scavenging ABTS free radicals were137.79 and 113.61 mg·L^-1,respectively.The alcohol extract and water extract of Artemisia princeps for scavenging DPPH free radicals were 76.16 and 61.47 mg·L^-1,respectively.The IC₅₀ for scavenging ABTS free radicals were 218.13 and 120.04mg·L^-1,respectively,so the free radical scavenging ability of Gnaphalium affine is slightly better than that of Artemisia princeps;In terms of reducing ability,Gnaphalium affine and Artemisia princeps have reducing ability;Gnaphalium affine is better than Artemisia princeps in delaying the fading of carotene;in inhibiting lipid peroxidation,Gnaphalium affine is also better than Artemisia princeps.It can be seen that the two kinds of raw materials of"Haocaibaba"in Xiangxi both have strong antioxidant capacity,and the antioxidant activity of Gnaphalium affine is slightly better than that of Artemisia princeps.The two kinds of"Haocaibaba"raw material plants have high nutritional value,as well as better bacteriostatic and antioxidant activities,indicating that the folk edible"Haocaibaba"in Xiangxi has a certain degree of scientificity.At the same time,this thesis will also lay the foundation for the further in-depth study of the two plants and the development of homologous food and medicine plants.
