Fashion Bionic Design Research

With the progress of the times,the development of clothing is affected by technological progress on the one hand,and changes in consumer demand on the other.Clothing is showing a trend of function and intelligent development.Bionic design is one of the effective methods of clothing design innovation.In the shape,structure,material,function and wearing style of clothing,there are applications of bionic design.The author conducts an in-depth study on the related literature of insect morphology research in fashion design,observes live insects and specimens,chooses to study the morphology and folding method of insect wings,and extracts morphological elements with hand-drawn analysis and draping experiments,and transforms the elements into clothing language,which imitates the form of folding and cascading,and is applied to the shape and structure of clothing.In the design,experiments are combined with various ways of clothing to explore the combination of fashion and functions.At the same time,the covering and wrapping shape simulating insect wings in this series of clothing may bring a sense of physical protection to wearers.Especially in this special period of facing the threat of the spread of covid-19 virus,this kind of bionic study in the fashion design can trigger us to rethink the relationship between man and nature,and has a certain role of emotional and psychological comfort.The shape of insects is ingenious and exquisite,there are many parts worth studying and simulating besides wings and abdomen.This research has a certain reference value for the research on clothing bionic design and laid the foundation for the follow-up research on clothing functional bionics.
