Study On The Structure-activity Relationship Of Plain-knitted Fabric Parameters And Fragrance Performance

Abstract/Summary:
Fabric finished with perfume is one of the carriers to attain the people’s wish for a good life.Spraying perfume has a widely application since it can give people chances to choose the fragrance according to the occasion and personality,which is different to traditional aromatic finishing.Fragrance retention performance is an important indicator of fabric that is finished with perfume.And there may be a close relationship between the perfume retention and fabric parameters.However,the relationship between them is still unclear now.Aim at the above-mentioned problems,this paper took weft knitted fabric as the research object.The fragrance retention was quantitatively evaluated by the electronic nose.The prediction model of the fragrance retention amount is established.Meanwhile,the drying property and wicking property were to reveal the the influence.The main content and conclusions are as follows:(1)13 weft plain knitted fabrics with different yarn composition,yarn count,wales per centimeter and courses per centimeter were independently kintted according to single variable method.10 fabrics were used for test and 3 ones were designed for verify.The fragrance retention was quantitatively evaluated by the electronic nose.It points that the fragrance retention performance of the fabric increases with the increasing of hydrophilicity of material.The high hydrophilicity leads to better fragrance retention performance.The fragrance retention performance of the fabric is inversely proportional to the yarn count.The fabric with the coarser yarn enjoys better fragrance retention performance.It is also s directly proportional to the stich density(i.e.courses and wales)of the fabric.The increase of stitch density reveals positive effects on fragrance retention performance of knitted fabric.(2)The wicking performance and drying performance of fabric were tested by drying speed tester,automatic water absorption speed tester and other equipments.Then the results were analyzed with the fragrance retention performance.It was found that the wicking performance and drying performance were related to the fragrance retention performance,and the fabric parameters(i.e.fabric component composition,yarn count,stitch density)affect the wicking performance and drying performance of the fabric.While fabric components or stitch density is different,the fabric owns the worse the fragrance retention,which has better wicking performance,larger perfume diffusion area,and quicker the drying rate.The fabric with coarser yarn enjoys larger perfume diffusion area,lower drying rate,and better fragrance retention performance.(3)The correlation between fabric parameters and fragrance retention performance was clarified through correlation analysis.were chose to The prediction model for fragrance retention performance were established by multivariate linear analysis and BP neural network.And three weft knitted fabrics with different fabric parameters were knitted for verification.The results showed that there was a strong correlation between the fabric parameters and the fragrance retention performance.The fabric composition and yarn count have a stronger influence on the fragrance retention performance than the stitch density.The prediction results showed that the goodness-of fit value of the multiple linear regression was 0.927,and the average relative error was 7.8 %.The goodness-of fit value of the BP neural network was 0.994,and the average relative error was-0.5 %.The results showed that the prediction performance of the BP neural network was better.The above research showed that the fabric parameters would have an effect on the wicking and drying performance,which further affected the fragrance retention performance.The model based on the fabric parameters could predict the fragrance retention performance of the fabric,which provides a theoretical support for the reverse design of the parameters of the scented fabric.
