Research On The Application Of Silk Material In Modern Shoe Design

With the development of social economy and technological innovations,people begin to explore more suitable ways of life for themselves,with extremely stringent design requirements for products for daily use.As for product design,people not only pursue functional requirements,but also focus on the visual effects what can be revealed,as well as the hidden connotation behind the product.The restrictions on the way of life imposed by the standardized systems in the industrial age are changing,and the design of products in the information age is pursuing minority of the population,individuation,fashion and expression of personal emotion.In addition to the functions of meeting basic physiological needs and decorating,there is symbolic identity for the product identities as well,which not only express personal values,but also pay attention to the transmission of culture.As a traditional material,natural silk is very important in Chinese culture.Because of its unique material performance and cultural connotation expression,it is favored by many modern designers.This paper studies the significance of natural silk in designing modern shoes by using the basic theory of semeiology.First,the basic material performance of natural silk was analyzed;Secondly,under the background of Chinese context,the cultural value of natural silk bearing was studied.By means of semeiology analysis,the product value and meaning were interpreted,and the visual features of silk symbols were extracted by CMF method and transformed into design elements.The definition of the meaning of natural silk shoes can make the style image more clear.Taking natural silk shoes as the design carrier,the perceptual cognition of users was transformed into concrete design elements,which provides the basis for the design of natural silk shoes and further guides the design practice.After the study of the expression meaning of shoes,designers can design shoes that meet the psychological expectations of users through linguistic cognition.The study on the application of natural silk in designing is how to meet the needs of consumers in spiritual,emotional and psychological aspects under the definition of modern life style.What consumers buy is a way of life realized by products and recognition of culture and values.
