In recent years,due to the rapid deterioration of the environment and the scarcity of resources,people have become increasingly interested in closed-loop biological materials.Mycelium,as a substance based on resource growth rather than requesting material,has attracted more and more designers’ attention.In view of the current situation of low utilization rate and high pollution of plastics,textiles and other wastes,this subject will study the method of combining fungal hyphae with species wastes,so as to obtain more possibilities for mycelial materials and broaden the mycelium The design and application of composite materials not only protect the environment but also save existing resources.This subject takes the fungal mycelium composite material as the main research object.Based on the material-driven design method,the material design application model is expanded and constructed.Based on this model method,the material design goal was established,and the influence of culture material composition,waste matrix type,particle size,and inactivation method on the material performance and growth rate was studied experimentally,and the material preparation method that met the design goal was obtained.Finally,based on the results of material development,the design and application concept of mycelium composite material was constructed and the design practice was completed.
