The property of the drying system affects the speed of the gravure printer and the quality of the products directly,drying cabinets are the core equipments in drying process,in drying oven,the uniformity and resistance characteristics of the flow field have a huge effect on drying effectiveness and energy consumption of the drying oven.This paper carried the thorough research on the internal flow field characteristics by means of theoretical analysis,fluid simulation,numerical simulation and other methods,for the purpose to improve the uniformity of the flow field and effectiveness of the drying process.The main research work and achievements in this paper are as follows:(1)Carrying on the simulation analysis for drying cabinet as a whole by using CFD numerical simulation software Fluent,for showing the real flow state of hot air inside the oven.Then carrying the numerical simulation on the flat nozzles and mesh nozzles to get the uniformity of the speed of each single nozzle and the uniformity of the different nozzles in the same cavity;(2)Dividing the fixed box cavity into three independent cavities according to the hot air flow state and the results of numerical analysis on the wind speed of the fixed box cavity to make the average velocity of the six mesh nozzles closer to each other for improving the speed uniformity of the different nozzles;(3)Setting the bottom surface of the fixed box as inclined plane according to the numerical analysis on the wind speed of each single nozzle,determining the best angle according to the contrastive analysis of the different angle,in addition this article also put forward baffle scheme in the cavity,through the comparison and analysis to determine the best structure of baffle and comparing the pros and cons of two kinds of scheme;(4)Under the condition that the velocity of the inlet is constant,determining the number and arrangement of the mesh on the basis of the simulation analysis and the requirements of the speed of the mesh nozzle in fixed box,and improving the structure of the mesh for the purpose of reducing the loss of air pressure.The whole simulation results of drying oven and the corresponding numerical analysis of the wind speed of nozzle restored the wind field characteristics under the actual conditions and provided the basis for the structure improvement of the fixed box.The structure improvement of the fixed box improved horizontal and vertical wind uniformity,which help to improve the drying uniformity and efficiency of the printing.The determination of the number of mesh and the improvement of the mesh shape can enhance drying effect and reduce the loss of air pressure.In this paper,the research work and achievements provide theory basis for design and research of gravure press drying oven.
