Rolling production is an important process in steel production,where the optimization on its scheduling typically exhibits as a hotspot for both academic research and practical application in related fields.With the continuous improvement on the level of informatization and intelligence in iron and steel industry,it has become a preferred systematic solution to develop a scheduling optimization software platform with high efficiency,friendly HMI and strong generality.By establishing a mathematical model suitable for practical problems and designing efficient optimization methods,the platform can make up for the defects of manual scheduling in precision and efficiency,as well as to improve the productivity and increase economic benefits to the enterprises.This essay aims at solving common combinatorial optimization problems in the process of steel rolling,where an intelligent scheduling optimization software platform by considering two typical cases is designed and developed in detail.A Vehicle Route Programming model for the hot rolling case is established by referring the batch planning problem to the vehicle routing model.Another case considering the loading problem in annealing procedure of cold rolling process as a typical combination optimization,i.e.,the two-dimensional Bag Packing Problem with different boxes,is also modelled in detail.A hybrid discrete differential evolution particle swarm optimization algorithm is then designed for such two typical combinatorial optimization problems of steel rolling process.In order to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method,several intelligent algorithms are selected to carry out comparative experiments and relevant results are analyzed.Finally,based on the above research and combined with software engineering methods,the scheduling optimization software platform is correspondingly designed and implemented.The real-world running examples are then given to demonstrate its practically satisfied application result.The function of this platform is also expandable,in which the modelling and optimization methods can be further applied to other combinatorial optimization cases in the steel industry.
