Recently,China's steel industry has experienced a harsh and long "cold winter".As a traditional industry with high energy consumption and heavy pollution,how to regulate production in a production-restricted,low-carbon environment is a severe test for every steel company.JT company also faces the cruel competition and pressure of the industry.How to improve the quality of steel products under high pressure environment and how to ensure that customer satisfaction does not decrease has become the focus of attention of all company.On this basis,JT company has introduced a new quality management concept:Six Sigma Management.Six Sigma(general abbreviation "6?")management is a method to reduce defects,and it is also an effective means for enterprises to maintain continuous improvement and increase competitiveness.Through quantitative measurement of the problem,detailed analysis of the causes,continuous improvement and optimization,and strict management and control in the later stages,the company's operating capacity gradually reaches the optimal design and achieves the goal of satisfying customers.Secondly,it is also a quality improvement tool.The core is based on a large amount of actual data,using statistical methods to directly find defects and rectify defects,and use technical means for long-term curing to achieve the actual target management concept.Six Sigma's DMAIC method is widely used in various fields of industry and is also widely used in the steel industry.This article takes the quality improvement of JT company as the research background,and uses the six sigma management theory.Firstly,it analyzes the main situation of JT company,the current situation and the existing quality control problems,and analyzes the necessity of JT company to use six sigma management.Taking the quality improvement of J55 hot-rolled strip as an example,the DMAIC tool is used to improve the quality,define product defects,verify the effectiveness of the measurement system,analyze the cause of the failure(find the key factors affecting quality),and explore during the project implementation process.Solution,and finally control improvement,and achieve project expectations.In the process,a variety of tools were used to implement research and improvement activities,and Minitab software was used for data analysis.Through these tools,the company's historical data is used as the basis to optimize the best data model,thereby improving the quality of steel,meeting the customer's order requirements,and achieving a win-win situation between the company and customers,quality and efficiency.The project was finally successfully implemented.The project provided a reference for the company's future application of Six Sigma management tools and the quality improvement of similar products.Through this Six Sigma quality improvement,the effectiveness and practicability of the Six Sigma method was finally proved.The research in this article provides ideas for further improving the quality of J55 hot-rolled steel tube and pipe steel,and is popularized in other products to meet customer needs,achieve a win-win situation between the company and customers,quality and efficiency,and also apply the company's future Six Sigma Management tools and similar products provide a reference for quality improvement.
