Demand Of Titanium Ore Product In China From 2021 To 2035

Titanium is the key mineral of Made in China 2025 and the"New Material Industry Development Guide".It is planned to be included in the 36 strategic mineral catalogues of the National Mineral Resources Planning(2021-2025).It is widely used in modern industry and cutting-edge technology.Titanium concentrate is the material basis and raw material for the development of the titanium industry.In 2019,the consumption structure of titanium concentrate in China is:titanium dioxide 83%,sponge titanium 9%,welding rod 8%,and other 2%.Titanium dioxide is mainly used in coatings,plastics and other fields,and sponge titanium is mainly used in the production of titanium materials.At of the end of 2019,China has identified 850 million tons of resource reserves(Ti O₂).Although the resources are abundant,most of them are symbiosis titanite with low grade.In recent years,with the rapid development of the downstream titanium industry,the consumption of titanium concentrates in China has been rising,but the upstream supply is obviously insufficient,leading to the continuous expansion of the demand gap and the increasingly severe supply and demand situation.From 2000 to 2019,the consumption of titanium concentrate(Ti O₂)increased from 370 thousand tons to 3.8 million tons,the output only increased from 200thousand tons to 2.5 million tons,and the demand gap expanded from 270 thousand tons to 1.3million tons.The degree of foreign dependence has been maintained at around 30%-40%for a long time.Therefore,it is of great significance to predict the demand for titanium ore in China for policy making,layout planning and resource security.Based on the analysis of the theory and methods of titanite consumption prediction,according to the characteristics of China's titanite consumption,this article fully considers the consumption history of developed countries,future consumption structure,complex variables and other influencing factors.The"S"-shaped prediction method,departmental demand forecasting,co-integration and error correction models are selected to predict the demand of titanium ore products(based on titanium concentrate)in China from 2021 to 2035.According to the forecast results,China's demand for titanium concentrates in 2025,2030 and 2035 will be4.0 million tons,4.1 million tons and 3.8 million tons respectively.The peak consumption point will be around 2028,when the demand will be 4.25 million tons.,The per capita consumption of titanium concentrate is 3.05kg.According to the demand forecast results,with reference to the current supply status,industrial policies and other background,the following prospects are put forward:(1)According to the demand forecast results of this article and the supply of titanium ore from other institutions,China's titanium ore market will continue to maintain“oversupply of low-end titanium ore,and high-end titanium ore in short supply”;(2)China's titanite resources are mainly associated ore,ore quality is poor.The current utilization rate of resources is only 23%.It is recommended to further strengthen the level of comprehensive utilization of titanite resources;(3)Rutile titanite account for a low percentage of identify resource reserves,but the demand is large.Strengthen the exploration of rutile titanite and improve the ability to guarantee resources;(4)Make full use of imported resources,reduce the concentration of imports,and improve global resource allocation capabilities.
