Study On The Design Features Of The Ming Style Arhat Bed

As a representative member of Ming style furniture,Ming style arhat bed has its own unique design features and artistic value.The function,shape and scale of Ming style arhat bed are highly compatible with contemporary sofa and single bed.It has both sitting and sleeping functions and has strong practicability.Therefore,the study of Ming style arhat bed design features can not only inherit and carry forward the excellent Ming style furniture culture,but also provide reference for contemporary furniture design.This research takes the Ming style arhat bed modeling as the breakthrough point,comprehensively uses the research methods of literature review,field investigation,legend analysis,induction and deduction,questionnaire survey,statistical analysis,etc.,and carries out the research from the four aspects of scale characteristics,shape decoration characteristics,perception image characteristics,and innovative design practice.Firstly,in the study of scale characteristics,through the methods of field investigation and statistical analysis,we analyzed the three view scale characteristics of 25 Ming style arhat bed samples and the overall local scale characteristics of 4 typical samples.The results show that the proportion of Ming style arhat bed has obvious regularity and preference characteristics,and the scale has appropriate characteristics.Secondly,in the study of component shape and decoration characteristics,through the methods of field investigation,legend analysis,classification analysis,induction and deduction,this paper analyzes and summarizes the shape and decoration characteristics of Ming style arhat bedside and bedstead.It is concluded that the shape of Ming style arhat bed has the characteristics of diversity,the shape of bed frame has the characteristics of integrity,and the decoration has the characteristics of unity and richness.Then,in the study of perceptual image characteristics,through questionnaire survey,statistical analysis and other methods,this paper analyzes and explores people's perceptual image of the Ming style arhat bed,and the relationship between the perceptual image evaluation value and the modeling elements.The representative words are sense of balance,sense of rhythm and sense of heaviness.The regression model of "heaviness" and modeling and decoration proves that the value of heaviness is highly related to the shape of bed and legs,but not to the decoration elements Sign.Finally,in the design practice of Ming style arhat bed modeling innovation,based on the characteristics of Ming style arhat bed modeling design,this paper puts forward the design points of innovation in inheritance,and under the guidance of these design points,designs three sets of Ming style arhat bed modeling innovation schemes,and shows the design process of modeling innovation.Through the in-depth study of the scale characteristics,component shape and decoration characteristics,perception image characteristics and modeling innovation practice of Ming style arhat bed,this paper summarizes the design characteristics and rules of Ming style arhat bed modeling,which provides detailed information for the future research of Ming style arhat bed modeling,enriches the dimension of Ming style arhat bed modeling research,and provides reference for the innovation design of traditional furniture Ideas and methods.It is expected to contribute to the inheritance and development of Ming style furniture and the innovation and development of contemporary furniture.
