In recent years, with the proposal of ecological civilization construction, the development and management of mineral resources have received increasing attention.Xinjiang,as a major mineral resource province, various types of mineral resources are widely distributed in the special structure of " Two Basins between Three Mountains".Driven by the capital of Xinjiang and the "Tianshan North Slope Economic Belt",the northern region of Xinjiang has experienced rapid economic development, and the development of mineral resources has become increasingly intense.Various illegal mining phenomena have emerged, which has seriously hampered the process of ecological civilization construction. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the regular pattern of spatiotemporal changes of illegal mines,to realize the prospective and targeted goals of mining management, and to maintain the sustainable development of mineral resources, the importance of the application of remote sensing and information technology to the study of the law on the spatial transfer and distribution of suspected illegal mines is becoming increasingly prominent. This paper takes the northern Xinjiang as the research area, takes the suspected illegal mining points of mineral resources in 2011,2013,2015 and 2017 as the research object, combines the regional geological background and the current research status at home and abroad, uses the Kernel Density Estimation method, the Gravity Center Model method and the spatial autocorrelation analysis method, with the help of Arc GIS software, the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of the mining points, the transfer of gravity center characteristics and the evolution of the spatial pattern are analyzed and studied to identify the key areas suspected to be illegal and to explore the causes behind them. The main achievements of this article are as follows:(1)With time passing, the suspected illegal mining points are centered on Urumqi, and the high-density value rotates clockwise from Yili area to Hami-Turpan area. However,Urumqi and its surrounding areas have always been density-intensive areas.(2)The transfer of suspected illegal center of gravity in the study area showed a trend of migration from northwest to southeast.Among them, the movement of the gravity center of energy minerals is related to the change in the number of coal mines suspected of illegally mining in Urumqi;the movement of the gravity center of metal minerals is mainly affected by the Altay and Tuha regions;the movement of the gravity center of non-metallic minerals is mainly affected by the economic development of the Tianshan North Slope Economic Belt.(3)The suspected illegal mining points in the study area on the global spatial pattern showed obvious clustering pattern distribution over time;the hot spot clustering area(HH)on the local spatial pattern was mainly distributed in the linear range from the northeast to the middle of the study area. The northeast of the district was transferred to the center of the research area, and then slowly radiated to the Altay region. The cold spot concentration areas(LL)all appear in Karamay City and its surrounding Tacheng area, with small areas alternating in the area.(4)Four key areas are identified in the study area, covering an area of 4,600 square kilometers, and combines with the Xinjiang Mineral Resources Master Plan, the urgent problems to be solved in the key areas are proposed, and related remediation proposals are put forward.(5)The paper analyzes the reasons for the change of suspected illegal points from the four aspects: the relationship between the geological stratum background, the impact of the Belt and Road on the economy, the economic development's urgent need for mineral resources, monitoring methods and management level.Through the study of the spatial transfer and distribution of suspected illegal mining points in northern Xinjiang over the past seven years,we can deeply understand the law of the spatial and temporal changes of illegal mines,it is of reference significance to realize the prospective and targeted management goals of mining management, maintain the sustainable development of mineral resources, keep the stability of mining order and orderly explore the mineral resources in Xinjiang.
