Research On The Ideological And Political Work Of Panzhihua Iron And Steel Base In The Three-line Construction Period

In the early 1960s,the severe international situation threatened China’s national security and territorial sovereignty.At the same time,the unbalanced domestic economic layout is not conducive to economic development,nor to air defense preparations.Therefore,the central leadership collective with Mao Zedong as the core proposed to carry out national defense construction based on the third line.The Panzhihua Iron and Steel Base is one of the most successful and representative construction projects in China’s third-line construction.The author believes that under the specific historical conditions of the time,the strong ideological and political work led by the Communist Party of China was one of the important conditions to ensure the successful completion of the Panzhihua Iron and Steel Base.Therefore,this article takes "ideological and political work of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Base during the construction of the third line" as the research theme.Through research,we believe that the construction of the Panzhihua Iron and Steel Base under difficult conditions involves not only the protection of materials,but also extensive personnel transfers.This requires a lot of hard and detailed ideological and political work under the unified leadership of the party.In practice,Pangang ’s party organization adheres to the party ’s basic line,guidelines and policies,takes Chairman Mao ’s ideology as a guide,takes class education as its foundation,and uses situation and task education as its important content.Use ideological and political work to educate the majority of Pangang builders in patriotism education,publicize the significance of Pangang construction,and call on the builders to unite as one,work hard and work hard.In the specific process of carrying out ideological and political work,Pangang has formed an effective way of organic combination of theoretical and policy learning,model demonstration,and material motivation.With the help of radio,newspapers,bulletin boards,art performances,and other activities,the ideological education of the builders has been carried out in a subtle way,thus rectifying the builders’ understanding and inspiring the sense of honor and responsibility of the builders.Through a series of ideological and political work,the staff of the Pansteel Base was stabilized,the ideological foundation of the staff was solidified,the smooth construction of the Pansteel base was guaranteed,and the "spirit of Pansteel" was formed.In short,although the ideological and political work of the Panzhihua Iron and Steel Base during the third-line construction period also had some limitations of that era,its advantages outweighed its shortcomings.It is still a successful model in the history of our party’s ideological and political work for socialist construction.The party and enterprises in the new period provided useful lessons for ideological and political work.
