In recent years,the archaeology of salt industry in northern Shandong has always been a significant topic for academic circles paying attention.The salt-making process in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties is an essential part of the research.Centered on the newly discovered Jixielinchang Site,Shouguang,this paper focuses on the production process of sea salt of the State of Qi during the Warring States period based on the detailed teasing and analysis of the remains salt production technology of the Warring States period.Then,the paper compares it with the remains salt production technology of the late Shang and Western Zhou dynasties.The paper also discusses the characteristics and technological progress of salt production process of the State of Qi during the Warring States period,and summarizes the "LinJian" method.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason,research scope and research significance of the paper,and briefly reviews the existing archaeology achievements of the salt industry in Shandong,and finally briefly describes the research ideas and research methods.The second chapter analyzed the main archaeological data used in this paper,namely the remains of the Shouguang Machinery Forest Site.Firstly,the paper display the remains and relics of the site,and selective analysis the accumulation characteristics of the boiled salt and carries out the typological analysis of the boiled salt pottery and the small amount of living utensils.Then,the paper infers the age and nature of the site and deduce that it is a salt-making site on the northern coast of the State of Qi during the Warring States Period.The third chapter focuses on the site and analyzes the salt production process in the State of Qi during the Warring States Period combines with related materials and literature records of other sites.Firstly,the paper analyzed the different accumulation characteristics and functional relationships between the relics of the site and then restores the salt production process at that time.Finally,through the comparative analysis with the salt production process of the late Shang and Western Zhou periods,the paper discusses the salt production characteristics and technological progress of the State of Qi during the Warring States period.The fourth chapter compares and analyzes the " LinJian”method in the literature and the salt production process of the State of Qi in the Warring States period,and concludes that Qi's salt production process should be the original"LinJian" method.The last chapter is the conclusion,it summarizes the three main innovative ideas of the salt production process of the Qi State during the Warring States Period,and proposes suggestions for future field archaeological work and related research.
