The mineral processing technology of nickel ore is different from ore property,dissemination characteristics and assorted relation.A certain magmatic liquation nickel sulfide with nickel grade of 0.53% and oxidation rate of 24.6%,from Shanxi province,was researched in this task.The main gangue minerals of Serpentine and talc is easy to be slimed and have good floatability,the valuable minerals are not easy to be liberated from the gangues,which have bad influence on production management,reagent system and production index.The electrochemical control flotation process is put forward to improve the resource utilization,reagent system and enterprise benefit..The result of orthogonal experiment showed that carboxymethyl cellulose had significant influence on nickel grade,copper sulfate and butyl xanthate had great effect on nickel yield.Comprehensively considering the grade and yield of nickel rough concentrate,the optimal regent dosage were determined with 350g/t sodium hexametaphosphate,500g/t carboxymethyl cellulose,360g/t copper sulfate,420g/t sodium n-butyl xanthate.A nickel concentrate with nickel grade of 5.12%,nickel recovery 68.57% and nickel yield 6.83% was obtained under the condition of optimal regent system.The optimal regent dosage of electrochemical control flotation were determined with 290g/t sodium hexametaphosphate,420g/t carboxymethyl cellulose,20g/t copper sulfate,240g/t sodium n-butyl xanthate and 150g/t DHN.A nickel concentrate with grade 5.20%,yield 7.12% and recovery 72.60% was achieved,from the raw nickel ore which was grade of 0.53% and 18% nickel silicate,under this condition of the optimalregent system.Compared with traditional flotation technology,the electrochemical control flotation is much better both in production index and economic benefit.One hand the yield of nickel concentrate can increase by 0.29%,grade increase by 0.08% and recovery by 4.03%,on the other hand the regent dosage of n-butyl xanthate can decreased by 42.8% and copper sulfate by 94.44%.The electrochemical control flotation can save 27090 yuan everyday and the net benefit of nickel production increasing can be 62590 yuan everyday.The property of mineral surface was detected by Zeta potential,FTIR and XRD.The results showed that the negative ΞΆ potential down increase with the dosage of DHN,which was beneficial to the mechanism of DHN and sodium n-butyl xanthate on mineral surface.The result of FTIR showed that xanthate and xanthate molecules were formed at first,then was dixanthogen.The HS-of DHN has great influence on the effect of sodium n-butyl xanthate which can form competitive adsorption on mineral surface.The result of XPS showed that the main hydrophobic substance which formed on the surface by DHN,was sulfur and polysulfide.
