Huangping County is an important grain-producing county in Guizhou Province,a populous county in Southeast Guizhou, and one of the key ecological function areas in China. It is a typical area facing multiple pressures of food security, economic development and ecological protection. In order to promote the sustainable development of cultivated land in the region,it is necessary to combine the differences in the relationship between people and land in different settlements to clarify the characteristics of cultivated land distribution and temporal and spatial evolution and its influencing factors under the classification of settlements.Guided by the theory of sustainable development and the theory of human-land relationship coordination, drawing lessons from geography, land science and other related disciplines, using land use data, natural resource data, social and economic data as data sources.Using GIS spatial analysis, the settlements are divided into six types: flat slope aggregation type, gentle slope aggregation type, gentle slope slightly discrete type, steep slope slightly discrete type, steep slope discrete type and no settlements type.Using equilibrium analysis, cluster analysis, dynamic change analysis, etc.to analyze the distribution and spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of cultivated land in classified settlements.Using geographic detectors to understand the differential influencing factors of the temporal and spatial evolution of cultivated land under classified settlements, and formulate management and control measures for cultivated land classification. The main conclusions are as follows:1)To clarify the distribution characteristics of cultivated land under settlement differences in karst mountainous areas. The density and distribution balance of cultivated land were positively correlated with the degree of settlement aggregation and negatively correlated with the slope of settlement. The cultivated land structure order was the strongest in aggregation type, but the weakest in slightly discrete type. The cultivated land showed HH(high-high)aggregation in slightly discrete type and aggregation type, and LL(low-low)aggregation in no settlements type and discrete type.2)The inflow of cultivated land in the study area can be divided into stable inflow stage, rapid inflow stage and minimal inflow stage. The inflow of cultivated land is mainly woodland and grassland, and the inflow of cultivated land is mainly in gentle slope aggregation type and no Settlements type settlements. The outflow of cultivated land can be divided into rapid outflow period, slow outflow period and continuous slow down period. The outflow of cultivated land is mainly construction land, mainly flat slope aggregation type outflow of cultivated land. The hot spots of cultivated land inflow changed from concentration to dispersion, and the settlement types of cultivated land inflow changed from single to multiple. The hot spots of outflow from cultivated land changed from scattered to concentrated, and the settlement types of outflow from cultivated land were stable, while the range and intensity time of hot spots decreased gradually.3)The intensity of the influencing factors was positively correlated with the degree of settlement aggregation and negatively correlated with the slope of settlement;Gentle Slope aggregation type is the segmentation point of the effect intensity of the influencing factors, and the subsequent settlements show weak response to the influencing factors. The influencing factors have strong explanatory power to the outflow of cultivated land, and the most explanatory factor is the degree of economic development and construction intensity. The effect of influencing factors on the inflow of cultivated land is weak, because the sources of cultivated land increase in the study area are scattered and random. The influence of human factors is greater than that of natural factors.4)The cultivated land protection of various settlements in the study area can be divided into key protection,sub-key protection, ecological protection and maintenance of the status quo.Cultivated land in generally discrete type, flat slope aggregation type should be key protected;Cultivated land in no settlements type and gentle slope aggregation type is the secondary focus of protection;Arable land in steep slope discrete type settlement is given consideration to ecological protection; The cultivated land in the settlement of steep slope slightly discrete type is maintained.
