For the sake of realizing the pixel controllable solid-state responsive photonic crystal and improve the performance of solid-state flexible reflective color display devices,a new idea of using electroactive polymer as the response driving source of photonic crystal is proposed in this paper.In this study,the electrostrain characteristics of the electroactive polymer dielectric elastomer acrylate polymer were analyzed,and the related test experiments were mainly carried out for the acrylate VHB4905.By analyzing the trend of its electrostrain curve,it is concluded that when the pre stretching rate of acrylate film is 2,its electrostrain characteristics are more suitable for the response of photonic crystals.In order to make the surface hydrophilicity of acrylate film meet the requirements of photonic crystal self-assembly,nano particle coating was used to modify the surface of acrylate film.Through the hydrophilic characterization test,it was found that the samples coated with two layers of nano particle coating had good hydrophilic effect.In the aspect of preparation,300 nm polystyrene(PS)microspheres were used to prepare photonic crystal films by gas-liquid interface assembly method.At the same time,the self-assembled photonic crystals were prepared in the same way on common glass substrates to analyze the effect of self-assembled photonic crystals in different substrate environments.Through the comparison of their reflection spectra,it is found that the static reflectivity of acrylate based photonic crystals is enhanced in varying degrees in the 530nm-760 nm band.Compared with the glass substrate,its reflectivity enhancement band is wider,but it has a reflectivity enhancement peak of 12.484%,which is more in line with the characteristics of photonic crystals.After integrating the photonic crystal thin film layer and the electrostrictive element,the electrostrictive photonic crystal element is made.Through the sorting and analysis of its dynamic reflection spectrum,it is concluded that the electric field response effect of this responsive photonic crystal unit is relatively linear,and its reflectivity enhancement effect for a specific wavelength is more obvious in the range of driving voltage.On this basis,the electro responsive photonic crystal unit is further divided into regions,and the responsive photonic crystal 2x2 array is preliminarily fabricated.After the trend analysis of the peak wavelength curve of reflectivity enhancement in each region under different driving voltages,it is concluded that the overall response effect of this responsive photonic crystal array is stable in a certain range,and the independent response effect of each region is stable and controllable.The above experiments verify the feasibility of the preparation of responsive photonic crystals with electroactive polymers as driving sources.It is also a new exploration in the field of solid-state electric field responsive photonic crystals,and lays a foundation for the further research of flexible photonic crystal display devices.
