As the "hometown of non-ferrous metals",Chenzhou City has rich mineral resources. This article takes Chenzhou City,Hunan Province as the research area, and selects Landsat satellite remote sensing image data from 1996,2003,2009,2016,and2019.Using remote sensing image data to extract ecological impact factors to construct an ecological environmental quality index RSEI,and Chenzhou mining site data, based on GIS spatial calculation and spatial analysis to explore the changes of RSEI between years in Chenzhou, and then grid the data to calculate the RSEI difference Coupling analysis with core density data of mining sites, and comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the relationship between the RSEI and mining sites in Chenzhou from 1996 to 2019 based on the results of the coupling analysis.conclusion as below:(1)From the time point of view, the change of RSEI from 1996 to 2019 showed a trend of "rising-falling-rising-rising".The average RSEI values ??of each year were 0.67,0.72,0.65,0.7,and 0.76.The overall ecological environment has Improved. From the load value,NDVI and WET are positive in each year, and NDVI and WET have a positive correlation with the ecological environment index. While NDSI and LST are both negative,LST and NDBI have a negative correlation with the ecological environment index.By randomly extracting RSEI and each index value to perform a linear regression equation,it is concluded that the main positive influence of RSEI in Chenzhou is humidity, and the main negative influence is dryness.(2)From a spatial perspective, during the period 1996-2009,the area of??ecological environment quality improvement area was 11857.57 km2,accounting for 61.16% of the city's area. The area where the quality of the ecological environment has deteriorated is 7521.39 km2,accounting for 34.7% of the city's area. The unchanged area accounts for a relatively small amount of only 8.02 km2.The overall change trend is "the west is worse than the east".(3)There is a certain correlation between changes in the quality of the ecological environment and mines. From the perspective of spatial distribution, the changes in the number of mine sites affect the quality of the ecological environment to a certain extent. The quality of the ecological environment in places with a small number of mines is relatively stable and is basically good or excellent, while the quality of the ecological environment is gradually getting better as the number of mines decreases.(4)From the perspective of minerals, the impact of metallic minerals on the ecological environment is greater than that of non-metallic minerals.Non-ferrous metals in metallic minerals damage the environment more than ferrous metals.Among non-metallic minerals, coal mines damage the environment more than other non-metallic minerals. From the perspective of scale,large-scale mining sites have the most serious damage to the surrounding ecological environment, and areas with more densely populated small and medium-sized mining sites have a greater impact on the surrounding ecological environment. From the perspective of mining methods, underground mining has a much greater impact on the ecological environment than open-pit mining.
