With the development of high-performance computing technology,the use of parallel numerical simulation to study the working process of various components inside a nuclear reactor has become an important means to ensure its stable work,improve work efficiency and optimize design.Based on the open source CFD software OpenFOAM,this paper conducts theoretical model analysis,grid construction,solver design and parallel calculation result analysis for the process of jetting high-speed gas in the nuclear reactor.The main work and innovations are as follows:1.Based on open source software,PRTFoama,parallel numerical solver for pressure relief tank gas injection simulation,was designed and implemented.Although existing commercial CFD software is superior to open source CFD soft-ware in terms of model stability and software usability,open source CFD software such as OpenFOAM has advantages in terms of customizability and parallel scalability.Based on the open source CFD software OpenFOAM,the design of the numerical solver PRTFoam for the gas injection process of the pressure relief box provides a reference for the custom simulation of the open source CFD software to solve the physical phenomena in industrial engineering.2.A large-scale parallel numerical simulation analysis of the case of the pressure relief box in the nuclear reactor was realized.The process of injecting gas into the pressure relief tank is essentially a high-speedflow of compressible gas,which can reach a gas velocity of up to Mach 3,making gas flow difficult to analyze and predict.Based on the open source CFD soft-ware OpenFOAM,this paper numerically simulates the gas injection phenomenon of the nuclear reactor unloading box,and based on this solver,the large-scale three-dimensional parallel numerical simulation of the complex application case of the millions of grids is designed for the practical engineering application.Optimization provides a reference.3.Open source CFD software OpenFOAM and commercial CFD software ANSYS CFX compare and analyze large-scale experiments in terms of computational accuracy and parallel efficiency.By comparing and analyzing the experimental results on OpenFOAM and ANSYS CFX,it is verified that the open source numerical solver PRTFoam designed in this paper can achieve the same degree of simulation precision as commercial software.The experimental comparison results of this paper provide an important reference for the design and optimization of numerical solver based on open source CFD software.At the same time,it also reflects that the numerical solver based on open source software development has important application prospects in the field of reactor digital simulation design.
