At present, the aging of the rural population is serious, and mutual support for the aged has become a hot topic in various regions to solve the rural pension problem. In this context, the number of rural mutual support for the aged buildings is increasing, but the architectural form is mostly consistent with the traditional rural dwellings. There is a big difference between the mutual support for the aged buildings with the elderly as the main body and the rural single house This paper takes the rural mutual support for the aged buildings in Hohhot as the research object, and adopts the research methods of field investigation and theoretical analysis and software simulation to summarize the climate adaptation strategies of rural mutual support for the aged buildings in winter under severe cold climate conditions.First of all,the overall layout, plane function, envelope, heating mode, energy application characteristics of the existing mutual aid pension buildings in Hohhot are investigated. It is found that the existing mutual pension buildings in this area have some problems, such as poor thermal performance of envelope structure, unreasonable plane function zoning, high heating energy consumption in winter, poor indoor thermal environment and so on.Second, according to the geographical location, architectural form and heating mode, the thermal environment of three typical mutual aid pension buildings was measured. It was found that the average temperature of the elderly living area could reach above 18 ?in the case of traditional brick concrete structure and stove heating. But the way of coal stove heating will not only cause poor air quality, large temperature difference between day and night, but also high energy consumption. The overall temperature of the cases with traditional brick concrete structure and floor heating is low, which can not meet the thermal comfort needs of the elderly. The cases with new polystyrene module structure and solar heating have a better indoor thermal environment. The average temperature of the bedroom reaches 18.4 ?,and the temperature difference between day and night can be maintained within 3 ?.Thirdly,187 rural elderly people who lived in Hohhot area for a long time were investigated by questionnaire survey, and the winter thermal sensation model of the elderly in Hohhot rural areas was established. The range of thermal neutral temperature was21.09 ?,the expected temperature was 20.5 ?,80% and 90% of the acceptable thermal comfort temperature range was 18.25 ? ?24.33 ? and 19.52 ? ?22.71 ? respectively. At the same time,it was found that the rural elderly in the area had low thermal sensitivity. Finally, based on the data of Huhhot climate, rural mutual aid homes and thermal comfort of the rural elderly, the software simulation optimization is carried out from three aspects of courtyard layout, architectural form and enclosure structure, and the corresponding climate adaptability strategies are put forward.Among the optimization of building orientation, shape coefficient, plane layout and enclosure structure, the optimization effect of enclosure structure is the most significant.Through orthogonal test, the optimization schemes of different envelope structures are combined, and six optimization schemes with energy saving rate of more than 65% are obtained.Pension building climate adaptability research of mutual aid,to improve the indoor thermal environment of rural mutual endowment architecture Improve the elderly in later life happiness Realize the sustainable development of mutual aid endowment construction has very important significance, also make up for the rural mutual endowment of bioclimatic architecture theory, the construction of mutual to support construction to provide the reference.
