Pairedly comparing alternatives is a common technique to construct the theory and method of multi-attribute decision making, among which the most typical decision making method is the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).When the polarity of things is considered in a decision making problem, the intuitionistic fuzzy sets can be used to represent the opinions of decision makers. In this thesis, the consistency definitions and decision making models are studied based on the intuitionistic additive and multiplicative reciprocal matrices. The main contributions include the following two aspects:The existing consistency definitions of intuitionistic additive reciprocal matrices are analyzed. It is found that the existing definitions are mainly based on the generalization of the consistency definitions of additive reciprocal matrices, and lack of the essential characteristics of intuitionistic fuzzy sets.In this thesis, considering the non-determinacy degree allocation of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, the definition of the additive approximate consistency of intuitionistic additive reciprocal matrices is proposed, and its properties are studied in detail. When intuitionistic additive reciprocal matrices does not have the additive approximate consistency, the approximate consistency improving method is given. The decision making model is established. The advantages of the new decision definition and model are illustrated through numerical examples. The consistency problem of intuitionistic multiplicative reciprocal matrices is discussed.By introducing the decision maker's attitude factor to allocate the non-determinacy degree of intuitionistic multiplicative numbers, the concepts of approximate consistency and acceptable approximate consistency of intuitionistic multiplicative reciprocal matrices are proposed.Secondly,an acceptable consistency improving algorithm and a method to obtain the weights of alternatives are presented. Finally,a new decision-making model is established and compared with the existing results through numerical examples. In the above results, the existing consistency definitions of intuitionistic additive and multiplicative reciprocal matrices have been analyzed, respectively.Based on the inherent characteristics of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, the definition of approximate consistency has been established.A new decision making model is given, and the decision theory and method under intuitionistic fuzzy environments are developed.
