ObjectiveOne of the signs of social development and progress is the physical health of children and adolescents.Muscle strength,as an important dimension of the physical health of children and adolescents, has attracted the attention of scholars. The muscle strength of children and adolescents depends to a large extent on their behavior habits. However, with the progress of socio-economic,socioeconomic factors such as place of residence and family socioeconomic status(SES)have gradually become the key factors leading to the decline of children and adolescents' muscle strength. This study analyzes the influence of screen time, physical activity, family SES,residence and other factors on the muscle strength of children and adolescents from the two aspects of socioeconomic factors and behavioral habits, and provides scientific basis for improving the muscle strength of children and adolescents.MethodsAccording to China's traditional administrative regions(North China,Northwest,Northeast,East China,Central,Southwest),this study randomly selected about 120 men and women in each age group from 10 to 18 years old children and adolescents in the six administrative regions,a total of 12,876 Two students(6,550 boys and 6,326girls)were selected as the research objects.Participants will conduct questionnaire surveys(using "Child and Adolescent Physical Health Test and Living Habits Survey")and physical tests(grip strength, standing long jump,30 s sit-ups)to assess the family situation, living habits and muscle strength of children and adolescents in my country.First, compute the family SES score, according to income, education and occupation three indicators. Then, the detection rate of muscle strength level of children and adolescents under various behavioral habit factors and socio-economic factors was compared by card-side testing. Finally, through logistic regression analysis, the influence of behavioral habits and socioeconomic factors on muscle strength was explored.Results1)Muscle strength characteristicsIn this study, boys at the age of 18 had the highest grip strength and standing long jump(41.8kg and 221.3cm,respectively),and boys at the age of 16 had the highest 30 s sit-ups(26.1 times).Girls at the age of 18 had the highest grip strength(27.8kg),standing long jump(172.7cm)at the age of 17,and 30 s sit-ups(21.8 times)at the age of 16.The detection rate of high grade grip strength in male students was the highest(37.2%)in Northwest China, and the lowest(21.0%)in Southwest China(P < 0.05).The detection rate of standing long jump was the highest(32.9%)in East China, and the lowest(18.2%)in Northeast China(P < 0.05).The detection rate of sit-ups was the highest in North China(32.1%),and the lowest in Northeast China(18.2%)(P <0.05).The detection rate in North China was the highest(30.7%),and the detection rate in Northeast China was the lowest(17.8%)(P < 0.05).The above differences were statistically significant. The detection rate of high grade female grip strength was the highest(33.7%)in Northwest China, and the lowest(22.0%)in Central and Southern China(P < 0.05).The detection rate of standing long jump was 33.6% in the southwest and 15.1% in the northeast(P < 0.05).The detection rate of sit-ups was the highest(31.2%)in the northwest and southwest regions, and the lowest(17.8%)in the northeast region(P <0.05).The detection rate in North China and Southwest China was the highest(28.6%),and the detection rate in Northeast China was the lowest(14.8%)(P < 0.05).The above differences were statistically significant.(2)Behavioral factors and muscle strengthScreen time: Taking "less than two hours" as the reference, the detection rates of "more than two hours" grip strength, standing long jump,sit-ups,and high-grade muscle strength index were 0.86 times(P < 0.05),0.90 times(P < 0.05),1.02 times(P< 0.05),0.90 times(P < 0.05).Physical Activity:Taking "30 to 60 minutes" as the reference, the detection rates of high grade of grip strength, standing long jump,sit-ups and muscle strength index of "over 60 minutes" were 1.12 times(P < 0.05),1.20 times(P < 0.05),1.17 times(P <0.05)and 1.17 times(P < 0.05),respectively.All the above differences have the meaning of unified accounting.(3)Socio-economic factors and muscle strengthResidence:Taking "rural" as reference, the detection rates of high grade grip strength, standing long jump and sit-ups in "large and medium-sized cities" were 0.68times(P < 0.05)and 0.84 times(P < 0.05)and 1.58 times(P < 0.05).The detection rates of high grade muscle strength index in "small cities" were 0.83 times(P <0.05).All the above differences have the meaning of unified accounting.Family socioeconomic status: Taking "high" SES as reference, the detection rates of "middle" SES for high grade of grip strength, standing long jump,sit-ups and muscle strength index were 0.90 times(P < 0.05),0.92 times(P < 0.05),0.73 times(P < 0.05)and 0.78 times(P < 0.05)respectively.ConclusionThrough the study of children and adolescents aged 10?18 in six administrative regions of China, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Muscle strength generally increases with age,the level of muscle strength of children and adolescents in Northwest and North China is higher, while that in Northeast China is lower.(2)Sufficient physical activity has a positive effect on the muscle strength of Chinese children and adolescents.(3)There was a correlation between family socioeconomic status and residence and muscle strength indexes.Middle-class socioeconomic status was a risk factor for muscle strength of children and adolescents, and the muscle strength of children and adolescents living in rural areas was better than that in urban areas.
