Firefly has good ornamental value because of its unique luminous behavior. It has been the source of inspiration for human literature and art creation since ancient times. It has rich and long-standing historical and humanistic value, environmental education value, tourism value and resource economic value. At the same time, the survival of Aquatic Fireflies is closely related to the natural habitat and non habitat environment.Affected by the transmission medium of the ecosystem, water substances, bank slope matrix and habitat structure, the aquatic firefly is very sensitive to water pollution, light pollution and matrix pollution, and has a very important ecological environment indication function. The topography of Jiangxi Province is mainly composed of hills in the south of the Yangtze River and widely distributed in river valleys and plains. In recent years, with the interference of climate change, urban construction and agricultural expansion, the quality of suitable habitat of firefly decreased sharply, the habitat shrunk, and the population decreased gradually. Therefore,it is very important for the effective protection and scientific management of the firefly population to strengthen the investigation of the current situation of the firefly population and the research on the habitat suitability. From April to August,2019,the present situation of Firefly Resources in the middle source section of Liaohe River,a tributary of Xiushui River, was investigated in the field. The species composition, distribution and biomass of fireflies in the area were analyzed. The MaxEnt habitat suitability assessment model was established to analyze and evaluate the habitat suitability of aquatic striped firefly in the middle source section of Liaohe River. The response of firefly habitat selection to environmental factors was revealed The main results are as follows(1)Five genera and six species of fireflies are identified and recorded in the riparian zone of Liaohe River. They are:aquatica fitta, aquatica Lei,pygoluciola Qingyu,Luciola sbustriata, abscondita chinensis and lamprigera.Among.By searching and comparing the existing literature,we found that the Yellow margin firefly,Leicester's firefly, striped back firefly, end black firefly and flat firefly should be new record species of Coleoptera in Jiangxi Province.(2)The six species of fireflies are mainly distributed in the marshland along the river and nearby paddy fields, and the most of them are in the humid environment near the foot of the mountain. In July, the density of fireflies in different sections from large to small was ?(0.855 ind/m2),?(0.735 ind/m2),?(0.6975 ind/m2),?(0.58 ind/m2),?(0.49 ind/m2),?(0.26 ind/m2),?(0.055 ind/m2).Further statistical analysis of the composition of fireflies showed that the dominant species in section ? and section?,the dominant species in section ?,?,? and ?,and the dominant species in section VII.(3)The population size of six species of fireflies in the middle source section of Liaohe River is estimated, which are 6.05 × 104 ind,9.64 × 104 ind,1.32 × 105 ind,3.51× 105 ind,1.51 × 105 ind and 2.68 × 103 ind,respectively.(4)The population diversity of fireflies in riparian zone of Liaohe River was analyzed. The order of species richness index(R),diversity index(H),evenness index(Jsw)and interspecific encounter rate index(PIE)from large to small was as follows:natural open riparian zone ?,?,?>valley low impact riparian zone ?,?>residential high impact riparian zone ?,?.(5)There were significant differences in the distribution and diversity of fireflies in different habitats. The number and diversity of fireflies in riparian zone of natural habitat were significantly better than those in artificial habitat.Land use type, water source distance and residential area distance were the main limiting factors for the suitable habitat distribution,(6)According to the response curve of the probability of occurrence to environmental variables, the suitable environmental conditions for its habitat are as follows:the suitable land use types are:streams, floodplain wetlands, paddy fields;the terrain is suitable for gentle terrain with slope less than 20 degrees;the distance from water source should be kept at 0?10 m;the distance from residential areas should be greater than 140 m;and the distance from roads should be greater than 50 m.
