Mature micro RNAs(miRNAs)are a class of short,endogenous single-strand non-coding RNA molecules with transcripts about twenty nucleotides.Numerous reports have shown that although miRNA does not encode proteins,it is widely involved in regulating the expression of human coding genes.There may exist a complicated relationship between miRNAs and human diseases,and the study of miRNAs functions help to understand the pathogenesis of human diseases.In the present era,the large amount of life science data is booming every day,prompting various calculation methods for analyzing the functions of miRNAs.They predicted the disease-regulating functions of miRNAs by mining the relationship between miRNA and the diseases they regulated.Currently,there have been many computational software for enrichment analysis of miRNA precursors,most of them ignore mature miRNA or fail to distinguish between mature and precursors.Therefore,this paper takes human mature miRNA as the research object to study its regulatory function and correlation with human diseases,and conducts a research on collection enrichment analysis method and system implementation.In this paper,reports on mature miRNA were manually collected from the Pub Med literature database,and classified to construct the mature miRNA-human disease database.On this basis,functional enrichment analysis was performed on the miRNA sets of mature organisms of interest,and similarity analysis was conducted on the diseases they regulated,so as to further understand the regulatory functions of mature miRNA.The main contents of this paper are as follows.Firstly,in order to avoid the previous defects in predicting the regulatory function of miRNA through the function of miRNA target genes,this paper searched the miRNA data in Pub Med literature database by keyword in a manual way,and conducted normalization processing according to the disease name.In order to further understand the correlation between mature miRNAs and the diseases they regulate,they are divided into up-regulated miRNAs and down-regulated miRNAs.Secondly,this paper conducted enrichment analysis on the collected mature miRNA data and verified the analysis results by combining the set enrichment analysis with the principle of statistical test.Based on the data of up-down-regulation relationship between mature miRNA and disease,cosine similarity principle was used for the first time in this paper to conduct similarity analysis of diseases regulated by mature miRNA,so as to predict the potential regulation relationship between mature miRNA and disease.Finally,for users to use the enrichment analysis method introduced in this paper more conveniently,designed and implemented MMSEA(Mature miRNA Set Enrichment Analysis)of Web Server version of human mature miRNA.The mature miRNA sets input by users not only realize the enrichment analysis of related diseases,but also realize the similarity analysis function of mature miRNA sets in regulating human diseases.The analysis results were visualized to facilitate the analysis of disease regulation functions of interested regulated mature miRNA genes.
