Debris flow is a common geological disaster in mountainous areas.It often breaks out instantly,washing away houses,burying buildings and destroying infrastructure,the safety of life and property of people in mountainous areas is greatly threatened The hazard of debris flow is directly related to its activity intensity,so predicting the activity intensity of debris flow is the key to formulate the prevention and control measures of debris flow disaster.At present,the study of debris flow activity intensity has developed from qualitative research to quantitative research,and there are various methods to study debris flow activity intensity.With the development and wide application of computer technology,numerical simulation has become one of the main ways to quantitatively study the intensity of debris flow activity.Therefore,this paper chooses simulation software based on different numerical simulation methods to carry out a comparative study on the activity intensity of debris flow.At present,there are dozens of software used for debris flow numerical simulation at home and abroad.However,because of their different principles.However,due to their different principles,different required parameters and different results,it is the first step to accurately predict the intensity of debris flow activity by selecting the numerical simulation software whose simulation results are more in line with the reality.Based on the understanding of the above problems,this paper adopts three highly recognized software at home and abroad: FLO-2D,CFX and RAMMS,and takes the Eyang River debris flow gully in Minxian County,Gansu Province as an example to carry out a comparative study of debris flow activity intensity based on different numerical simulation software.The three software simulation in twenty years,fifty years,a once-in-acentury rainfall debris flow activities under three working condition of the same intensity,the velocity of flow,mud and debris flow accumulation scope and deposit thickness characterization of debris flow activity comparison research,the elements of elements and by May 10,2012 ears were tested,the actual condition of debris flow hazards in the once-in-a-century get the following:1.In terms of velocity simulation,the velocity near the gully mouth of the three software is close to the actual flow velocity,but in other locations,the simulated velocity of RAMMS is significantly different from the other two and inconsistent with the real flow velocity.In the whole process,the flow velocity of FLO-2D simulation is close to that of CFX,but the fluctuation is larger than that of CFX.2.By comparing with the actual mud level,FLO-2D simulated mud level is most consistent with the reality,and the RAMMS mud level is larger at the gully mouth than that at the other sites,but smaller;The CFX mud level is always the largest.3.In terms of the accumulation range,by comparing the accumulation range of "5·10" Eryang River debris flow with that of software simulation,the accumulation range of debris flow simulated by FLO-2D and CFX is consistent with the actual accumulation range and the accuracy of CFX results is higher.4.In terms of packing thickness,the average packing thickness of FLO-2D simulation is the most accurate;Small RAMMS;CFX is going to be bigger.5.In terms of software operation,CFX software is much more complex than FLO-2D and RAMMS.
