With the frequent and serious geological disasters constantly upgrade,how to effectively predict the occurrence,prevention of geological disasters and reduce the harm has become the urgent task of geological disasters.As a core element of risk assessment of geological disasters,debris flow disasters in hydropower engineering Investigation of possibilities has become the focus of the investigation of geological disasters in recent years.In this paper,combined with the upper reaches of the Yellow River Shanping Hydropower Station as an example,analysis of lithology and geomorphic characteristics in the region characteristic,superposition in Guide basin area of its geological background,geological,rainfall and other factors,the reservoir and dam near the relatively large scale and has a certain effect on the project of the 6 debris flow,debris flow activities are historical investigation the sedimentary characteristics,dynamic characteristics analysis,calculation and risk analysis and research work,combined with the engineering layout and debris flow gully position,comprehensive assessment of debris flow impact on the project,points out the influence of debris flow on hydropower projects mainly in the influence on the construction of roads,hydropower engineering facilities and resettlement,reservoir sediment,the engineering facilities.The analysis results show that,6 debris flow gullies in gully debris flow gag wave with large stones,boulders directly impact damage to the dam,the gully debris flow may be temporary facilities construction road,on the power station construction has certain hazards,the reservoir area will create a fixed deposit,in addition,investigation shows that,the project area the debris flow in the diluted water stone flow or turbulent flow,the basic will not plug the river.
