Geochemical gene are new technologies proposed in recent years,including lithogene,metallogene,and rare earth element gene,It has potential application value in component classification,sample traceability and mineral resource exploration,and makes up for the limitations of the traditional element geochemical tracing method in weathering products,and broadens its application scope.The stability of geochemical gene in weathering products of different degrees was tested in this paper by using three scale media,namely,the vertical weathering profile of granite bedroksoil,the lateral migration profile of soil-stream sediments,and the shallow soil survey data of 1:250,000 multi-target survey in Tieling,Liaoning Province.In the vertical weathering profile of granite,the lithogene LG01,lithogene LG03,metallogene and rare earth element gene show good heritability from the fresh bedrock at the bottom of the weathering profile to the weathered soil at the top,from the top soil to the bottom of the profile.Fresh bedrock samples show good inheritance,while the lithogene LG02 is unstable in the weathering profile.In the lateral migration profile,the lithogene LG01 and the lithogene LG03 showed good stability in soil and water system sediments;while the lithogene LG02 was unstable in the profile;metallogenes and rare earth element genes also showed good stability in soil and water system sediments.In the use of the application of geochemical gene,The lithology gene LG01 and the lithology gene LG03 can effectively distinguish the acid-like component and the neutral component-like area in the study area.Compared with the lithology gene LG01,using the acid similarity of LG03 to divide the result range is smaller and more accurate;lithogene LG01,lithogene LG03,gold metallogene,and tungsten metallogene are shown in rock,soil and water system sediments.A good genetic similarity was found,and the traceability area of the geological samples was inferred;the gold metallogene and the tungsten metallogene also achieved results consistent with the actual situation in the delineation of the study area's abnormal mineralization.Geochemical gene have potential application prospects in the fields of basic geological survey,mineral resource exploration,and traceability of physical evidence,etc.Based on the massive geochemical data of regional geochemical exploration and multi-objective geochemical survey,corresponding lithologic geochemical gene banks can be constructed for traceability of soil and stream sediment samples.At the same time,gold mineralization gene and tungsten mineralization gene can be used as geochemical indexes of gold and tungsten mineral resources exploration.
