| Samples were collected from a section surveyed in the Tianshan Town area of Xinjiang,Northwest China.A total of 40 palynological samples were collected from the research area, involving the early Middle Permian Upper Member of the Lucaogou Formation, middle Middle Permian Hongyanchi Formation, late Middle Permian Lower Member of the Quanzijie Formation and early Late Permian Upper Member of the Quanzijie Formation respectively. The Upper Member of the Lucaogou Formation has a few palynomorphs. The Hongyanchi Formation has also some spores and pollen. While the Quanzijie Formation have abundant palynomorphs. The palynomorphs fossils were correlated to the parent plant groups and 4 palynological assemblages was recognized.According to the plant ecology, the paleoclimate and paleoenvironment of the study area were restored and the following understanding was obtained.1.The palynomorphs of the Upper Member of Lucaogou Formation is composed of nine species in eight genera, named as Cyclogranisporites staplinii,Potonieisporites rotundus,Potonieisporites sp.,Solisisporites coalensis,Klausipollenites sp.,Sulcatisporites ovatus,Protohaploxypinus arachnoideus,Karamayisaccites ovatus, and Lueckisporites virkkiae. The palynomophs of the Hongyanchi Formation is composed of fourteen species in twelve genera, named as Calamospora sp.,Cyclogranisporites cf.aureus,Cyclogranisporites staplinii,Verrucosisporites papulosus,Anapiculatisporites heterochaetus,Raistrickia obtusosaetosa,Convolutispora tuberculata,Cristatisporites echinatus,Divarisaccus cinctus,Limitisporites pristinus,Protohaploxypinus jimsarensis,Protohaploxypinus suchonensis,Striatopodocarpites sp.,and Hamiapollenites exolescus. The Lower Member of the Quanzijie Formtion is composed of seventeen species in sixteen genera named as Leiotriletes subintortus,Calamospora minuta,Calamospora sp.,Anapiculatisporites sp.,Raistrickia obtusosaetosa,Convolutispora tuberculata,Endoculeospoa sp.,Cordaitina rotata,Potonieisporites rotundus,Samoilovitchisaccites sp.,Noeggerathiopsidozonotriletes multirugulatus,Solisisporites coalensis,Parasaccites obscurus,Striatomonosaccites extensus,Hamiapollenites radiatus,Vittatina subsaccata, and Lueckisporites virkkiae.Similarly, the palynoflora of Upper Member of the Quanzijie Formation is composed of twenty-five species in seventeen genera named as Leiotriletes parvus,Leiotriletes subintortus,Calamospora minuta,Calamospora sp.,Punctatisporites glaber,Cyclogranisporites staplinii,Limatulasporites fossulatus,Endoculeospoa sp.,Florinites luberae,Klausipollenites dissitus,Klausipollenites tetragonius,Klausipollenites sp.,Falcisporites sp.,Piceaepollenites sp.,Abiespollenites sp.,Alisporites auritus,Alisporites communis,Alisporites stenoholcus,Alisporites sp.,Chordasporites cf.rhombiformis,Chordasporites sp.,Protohaploxypinus dvinensis,Striatopodocarpites sp.,Hamiapollenites exolescus, and Vittatina subsaccata.2.It shows abundant palynomorphs fossils were discovered in the Turpan-Hami Basin of Tianshan Town,Xinjiang,Northwest China,in the early Middle to early Late Permian.Four palynological assemblages are identified in the ascending order: Cyclogranisporites staplinii-Sulcatisporites ovatus Ass.(SO),Raistrickia obtusaetosa-Protohypaloxypinus jimusarensis Ass.(OJ),Leotriletes subintortus-Noeggerathiopsidozonotriletes multirugulatus Ass.(SM),Limatulatisporites fossulatus - Alisporites stenoholcus Ass.(FS).It is based on the age of the palynoassemblage zone-1 from the Upper Member of the Lucaogou Formation should be Roadian, palynoassemblage zone-2 from the Hongyanchi Formation should be Wordian, palynoassemblage Zone-3 Lower Member of Quanzijie Formation should be Capitanian and the palynoassemblage Zone-4 Upper Member of Quanzijie Formation should be Wuchiapingian.3.It is speculated that the overall vegetation landscape is Angaran with dissaccites and striatiti, infers a warm and humid climate with dry fluctuations of the Turpan-Hami Basin during the Middle Permian. |
