A new technological revolution in the field of social economy and national defense science and technology construction has been being influenced and led by cyberspace,which is the basis of advanced technologies such as information technology,communication technology and network technology.Other than the traditional Cartesian space,cyberspace,as a new interactive social space,is essentially different from the traditional geographical space defined by entities,distances and boundaries.Its virtual,instantaneous and interactive characteristics also make the physical structure of network and the transmission route of data cannot be perceived and depicted intuitively.While the cyberspace is much more difficult to be recognized than the traditional geographical space,visualizing the relation and node information of entities and virtual resources in cyberspace by vivid graphical language is of great significance for revealing the law of cyberspace activities and promoting cyberspace cognition.There are three major problems in the process of cyberspace relation and node information visualization at present.First,no complete element system with a corresponding date storage structure has been brought up.Second,the scheduling and indexing methods of cyberspace data cannot realize a scientific and quantitative data processing result oriented to the characteristics of cyberspace elements.Third,the visualization of cyberspace relation and node information cannot be supported by the existing logical layout algorithms and location-based geographical information visualization methods,which are difficult to display its essential characteristics.To solve the above problems,the research on the methods and technologies of cyberspace data organization and processing,cyberspace relation information visualization and node information visualization is carried out.The main work of this paper is as the follows:1.Propose the key problems in the process of cyberspace information visualization.Considering the research status of cyberspace data organization and processing,and the visualization methods oriented to cyberspace information,the present key problems of the cyberspace information visualization methods and technologies were analyzed and summarized.The purpose,content and plan of this study were proposed.2.Research on the method and technology of cyberspace data storage and preprocessing.To propose a complete element system with a corresponding data storage structure,a classification and coding scheme was proposed aftering analyzing the characteristics of cyberspace elements.And then a data storage structure was designed with that.On this basis,the process and key technologies of data preprocessing were studied.3.Research on the generalization method and technology of point cluster features in cyberspace.In order to portray the characteristics of cyberspace quantitatively,by analyzing and quantifying various types of characteristic information of point cluster features in cyberspace,an aggregation method based on the adaptive hierarchical model and clustering algorithm of k-means and a selection method based on the node importance measuring were proposed to realize the automatic generalization of cyberspace point cluster features.4.Research on the method and technology of cyberspace relation information visualization.A hierarchical cyberspace map model oriented by relation information and based on node information was designed by combining the existing cognitive models of cyberspace.Then a composite distance Cartogram was proposed oriented to the topological structure of network.With the help of the spatial transformation of relation distance and the spatial deformation of the basic geographical elements,the cyberspace map elements can be mapped on the composite distance Cartogram.5.Research on the method and technology of cyberspace node information visualization.The cyberspace node information and the relation between its visualization and the spatial granularity,also the viewing levels were analyzed.Three types of cyberspace node information visualization methods were proposed for different needs,including the individual information,macro information and multi-level information visualization.
