About the testing effect has a history of one hundred years of research,the performance of testing learning method have strong robustness better effect than repetition study method,after test practice in the study phase then at final examination can have a better memory performance,in the long-term memory keep also have significant benefits.The research of testing effect has a lot of different paradigm,and use a lot of different neural research methods such as ERP and f MRI.In addition,we know the stress also has an impact on memory,people in the stress situation the memory retrieval will be suppressed,so researchers are exploring what kind of memory method can against stress block of memory retrieval.There are researchers design behavior experiments compared the learning performance between test and restudy method when participants exam under stress.But different studies have different results,which are contradictory.Have research said testing effect can against the damage of pressure on memory retrieval,but also has the research found that two learning methods are useless under pressure.Therefore,we design a corresponding experiment to explore this problem,further we recorded EEG data at the experimental time,have a further exploration on the neural mechanisms by event related potentials(ERPs)method.In our experiment we let the participants learn 224 weak relative Chinese word-pairs on the first day,used two different learning methods test and restudy,each method learning half of the words and then test the next day.The final test include 32 words having never learned,so the final test totally include 256 word-pairs.The final test separation in two part,the first test part is before the pressure,and the second part after the pressure,the subjects were given a Socially Evaluated Cold Pressor Test(SECPT)in the middle to induce the stress.During the study and the final test,we recorded the EEG data of all the subjects.Test behavior results of experimental shown that there is no significant difference of memory performance between the stress and the non-stress in two methods.No matter before the stress or after test method have a better memory performance.From the ERP data we can find that the analysis of old/new effect confirmed the dual-process model of memory.The early old/new effects are sensitive to the familiarity and there is a significant EEG difference between learned and unlearned items.The late old/new effects are sensitive to recollection,there is a significant difference in EEG between the items that were wrong and those were not learned.In addition,pressure procedure has a significantly effect on the electrophysiological for the test method,early has influence on which use test method and answer is error,late is on the test method and answer is right condition.Which explain when the final test stress will have a regulation on the test items' potential.
