There are abundant marine energy resources in China. The offshore test site is a test platform for marine energy installations. The construction of offshore test sites is an indispensable means in order to promote the development of marine energy.Wave energy converter is an important part of ocean energy converters. The hydrodynamic effects between different devices need to be evaluated in the designing of the berth layout of the test site.In this paper, the wave statistical data of two offshore test sites in the northern region of Chu island and the southern region of Dawanshan island were analyzed.Seven and six representative wave states were selected, and the improved mode of SWAN,a wave model, was used for wave element simulation and the wave power spatial distribution. At the same time,frequency-weighted wave power distribution of each wave state were calculated.According to the abundance of wave energy resources and the stability of wave power, the Dawanshan wave energy test field was selected as the site for the wave energy generator.Evaluation of hydrodynamic influence between test berths of access device is the key to evaluate berth layout. In this paper, the principle and power characteristics of wave energy converters with different structures are introduced, and the influence level of different converters in the test field and the degree of hydrodynamic influence between berths are calculated by using the improved SWAN model. An improved berth layout is proposed based on the results of calculation and analysis. The best layout scheme of different converters and their annual generation capasity are perdicted. The test positions of wave energy converters can be arranged more flexibly according to the improved berth loyout, and the wave energy resources in the test field can be utilized to the greatest extent to improve the utilization efficiency.
