By the limitations of ideology and technology of times, when dealing with the relationship between buildings, human beings and nature in traditional blocks,it tends to take advantages and circumvent disadvantages to adapt to the natural climate and local conditions under control, which fully embodies the characteristics of low-tech and high-efficiency as the key idea of green construction. The modest traditional experience of green construction has been paid much attention in the academic circles;however most of the previous studies have focused on the spatial form and physical performance of buildings, and rarely on the strategies of microclimate adjustment in the block.Taking the Yangtze River Delta as a representative example of the climate zoning of hot summer and cold winter, this study take environmental impact factors as the key to analyze the green construction of traditional blocks and its mechanism.Upon the existing research, three typical blocks in the Yangtze River Delta have been selected as research objects, with the investigation four kinds of factors have been filtered out that have deep impacts on climate regulation of blocks from several aspects: structural texture, geometric morphology, material elements, etc.Factors can be subdivided into the next level, which have internal logical relationship of progressive correlation between each other,so that the physical and spatial features of blocks can be described qualitatively and quantitatively through indicators of different levels and multiple perspectives.Aiming at the environmental impact factors mentioned above, the author has conducted the measured data acquisition of temperature and wind speed in the three blocks, and makes correlation analysis of the spatial and temporal distribution between them and the climate parameters which represent the physical environment performance of blocks.Based on the actual representation of the thermal and wind environment of blocks, the superiority range or threshold value for the indicators of environmental impact factors have been summarized within specific climate conditions and the practical experience of choose or rejection to balance various indicators. The construction of the traditional blocks is not only the response to the natural climate works, but also the consideration of living comfort. The physical space of traditional blocks has been analyzed with the quantified abstract spatial model together with their layering concrete material elements. The experience and strategy system of green construction which response to the climate environment of the traditional blocks in the developed area of Yangtze River Delta are systematically summarized from these two aspects,so as to provide the reference as the theoretical and practical method with contexts for the renewal of the existing blocks or the planning and design of the new green block in the future. The full text is about 78000 words,70 figures,60 tables.
