As one of the greatest inventions in the 20 th century,because of its high energy density and strong coherence,laser has been widely used in laser communication,material processing,medical service and other fields.Laser ranging is one of the most important aspects of laser application,which is indispensable in the fields of aerospace and military industry.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of laser ranging technology,for this contradiction between the maximum measuring distance and the maximum measuring volume in the current laser ranging system,this thesis studies a small-volume,long-distance laser ranging system that conforms to the safety standards of laser eyes.The main research content of this thesis is as follows: the principle of laser ranging technology in common use at present is deeply studied,the development process of laser ranging technology at home and abroad and the research hotspots in different stages are studied,and the development trend and common problems of laser ranging technology at present are summarized.Consider the project requirements,the overall architecture design of the laser ranging system is completed.A laser emitting circuit with 1550 nm semiconductor laser as the core was designed and debugged in accordance with the safety of human eyes,and its peak transmitting power was up to 40 W.Laser collimation and focusing paths are designed and optimized.By analyzing the echo signal,the design of the low noise receiving circuit including the preamplifier circuit,the full differential amplifier circuit,the high-speed comparison circuit,the sampling circuit and the clock circuit is completed,and the power circuit involved in the receiving module is designed.The noise and SNR of each part of the amplifying circuit are analyzed and estimated in detail.The signal processing module with Zynq7010 as the core is designed.Based on the research and comparison of long-distance echo signal algorithms,this thesis adopt multi-pulse self-accumulation algorithm as a long-distance ranging echo signal processing algorithm.Finally,the work of this thesis is summarized,the future work and the development direction of laser ranging technology are prospected.The debugging results of the transmitting circuit show that it can complete the task of transmitting 100 ns laser pulse.The simulation results of the optical module show that the collimating lens and focusing lens group can accomplish the tasks of collimating and focusing well while meeting the minimum volume.The simulation results of the receiving module show that the amplifier circuit can amplify the echo signal to a specified multiple without loss of truth.The simulation results of multi-pulse self-accumulation algorithm show that it can effectively improve the SNR of echo signal and accurately extract the arrival time of echo signal.The simulation results show that the laser ranging system can complete the long-distance ranging task under the precondition of human eye safety.
