Non-oriented silicon steel is a significant soft magnetic material widely used in electric motor and generator.The trend of miniaturization,high frequency and high efficiency in the power electronics industry has raised the need for higher magnetic induction,lower iron loss and lower anisotropy for non-oriented silicon steel.The main factors affecting the magnetic properties are the inclusion quantity,grain size and recrystallization texture.Texture control is still far from efficient optimization although texture is a highly sensitive factor for magnetic property.The segregation element Sb has been shown to have a positive effect on enhancing ?and ? and weakening the y recrystallization textures,which is significantly affected by the amount of Sb addition and cold rolling reduction.In the present study,recrystallization texture and magnetic properties of non-oriented silicon steel were improved by control of Sb content and cold rolling reduction.Furthermore,texture development under the intervention of Sb was analyzed by X-ray diffraction and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).(1)The Sb content and cold rolling reduction have a significant effect on the recrystallization texture.The addition of Sb can enhance the ? and ? recrystallization texture,which depends on favorable match between cold rolling reduction and segregation element content.In addition,the addition of Sb can weaken the y recrystallization texture significantly.(2)As Sb content increases,the magnetic induction measured along RD and TD directions increases first and then decreases,and the iron loss measured along RD and TD directions decreases first and then increases.The increase in magnetic induction is mainly due to the recrystallization texture optimization,and the decrease in iron loss is the combined effects of the increased grain size and enhanced recrystallization texture.(3)The differentiation control of growth rate for each texture component can be implemented by addition of Sb.For sample with 0.04%Sb,the ? recrystallized grains have growth advantage;for sample with 0.06%Sb,the growth rate of y recrystallized grains is reduced significantly,and ? grains has no growth advantage compared with ?,? and a grains.
