In order to meet the requirements of users on the cold-formed steel products of thick-walled,large size,light weight and high strength,and in order to improve roll sharing,reduce roll changing times and save the cost of roll making,a high strength thick-walled rectangular profiled steel flexible cold forming production line with the high strength steel material QSTE700 TM as the forming slab material was designed in this paper,the type of mill housing,the forming roller flower and the shape and size of the roll of each forming path were given.A finite element model was established for the forming process of the cold forming thick-walled rectangular profile steel with the finished product specification of 180×180×10mm.The finite element simulation was carried out for the flexible cold forming process of the product,and the original production line was optimized according to the simulation results.Finally,the effectiveness of the simulation results was verified by the effect of work hardening of the corner.The results are as follows:(1)The roll design and pass design of the cold forming production line are good,which can achieve the smooth forming of the high strength thick-walled rectangular profiled steel,and have no obvious product side wave wrinkling and other defects caused by uneven longitudinal strain distribution of the slab.(2)Before the optimization of the cold forming production line,the symmetry of the forming performance of the two sides of the corner of the first forming section is poor,which will affect the structural stability of the rectangular profiled steel.By setting up the middle path and pressing down path to optimize,the symmetry of the forming quality of the two sides of the corner is improved obviously.(3)The experimental results are basically consistent with the simulation results,and the accuracy of the finite element model established in this paper meets the requirements of engineering application.The research has certain guiding significance and reference value for the designand production application of flexible cold forming production line of high strength thick-walled rectangular profiled steel.
