36 Regiment is located in the south bank of Lop Nur and the edge of the Taklamakan Desert. The total area is about 565 square kilometers, and the mean altitude is about 900 m.It is an important red dates production base of Ruoqiang county. This study conducts a geochemical survey on the basis of geochemistry in 36 regiment and collections of shallow and deep soil samples, using the test results to analyze the content and distribution characteristics of elements in the soil of the study area, provide scientific and reasonable suggestions for the sustainable cultivation of high-quality agricultural products in the study area and optimize agricultural production patterns and planting structures in the area. This article obtains the following conclusions through research:(1)The average level of most elements in the 39 indicator elements tested in shallow soil is lower than the average level of soil element content in China.Well, the contents of Ba,F,P,Zn,As,Sn,Be and Sr are higher than those of Chinese soil. The coefficient of variation of most elements is less than 1,and the variability is not strong.Among them the coefficient of variation of Ca O,Mg O and Sr are the largest. They are 5.78,3.76 and 2.98 respectively.(2)According to the average values of element contents in different deposition types of soil, the level of elements in alluvial sediments is basically same as the soil background value in the study area.Only C has a maximum enrichment factor of 1.52,which shows that the distribution of C elements in this sediment type is not uniform. The mean values of Sr,Mo,Br,C,Na2O,Se,B and N in the aeolian sediments are significantly higher than soil background value in the study area,up to 2 times higher. The soil in three sediment types are all in alkaline environment.(3)The content of elements in soils under different land use types are different, and the average contents of N,B,Se,C,Mo,Br and Sr in agricultural lands are higher than those in unused lands. The Mo element has the highest enrichment factor is 3.51.(4)Analyzing the content characteristics of essential trace elements in shallow soil, among B,Mo,Mn,S,B,Zn,Cu,Se,F and I,the contents of Mo,S and F are rich.F content in about 20%sampling points is in excess level. The contents of Zn,Cu in the study area are lack. Both of them have more than 70%of the sampling points in the fourth level-below the missing level.More than 50%of the I,Mn elements are in the fourth-order deficiency level. The contents of Se and B are moderate.(5)The average content of the eight heavy metals in shallow soil with more than 90%of the sampling points, are at the first-level pollution-free level. The content of six kinds of heavy metal elements in deep soil is at the first-level environmental quality standard, which indicates that the original content of heavy metals in the soil of the study area is low.The intervention of human activities in the later period led to mild heavy metal pollution in the shallow soil.In general, the heavy metal pollution in the soil is relatively light in the study area, and it is basically in a state of no pollution.
